Steve Morris F/S

His tendency to stop and look in a pack gets him caught so many times. He cost us at least two goals from doing this today.

Only two goals? At least four.

He is horrible.

Don't be kind.
He worst then horrible.

Thinks he can dash around players and hold off on the first option.
He can't. Has Limit skills and lacks the ability to play smart.
Needs to know he's limits.

I hate to criticise the guy - he tries harder than most out there. But he is just not up to it. Would make an excellent VFL Tiger player.

A good battering ram, but diabolical with ball.

I'm not even sure he's a good battering ram anymore. He didn't stick many tackle attempts today, and he has displayed a consistent inability to keep his feet.

Wow. Another awful game by Morris. Has gone so far backwards. I agree McDonut, even as a natural forward, is a better option as small back.

yeah t was dreadful. but im a fan.

Love his endeavour... But his decision making, skills and his general footy IQ is that far away from what it needs to be. Still carrying that shoulder injury too which is a worry.

The shoulder had nothing to do with him coughing up the ball twice, getting out marked and out run..
If there was one player that was going to cost us yesterday it was him.
We should've won by 40+.

Burke and Wills had endeavour, Scott in the Antarctic had endeavour, Morris was terrible today again, for the umpteenth time, has to go, Laughable contract extension. What were they thinking?

I think you have to play him up the ground...if that doesn't work then trade him.

Gave away three goals that could easily have been averted. Love his endeavour could be ok on a wing...but cannot afford deep in the backline.

Easy P64...

He was being talked about as AA small defender last year... Been aweful this year, however playing through adversity.

Even if he doesnt regain his 2013 form he is a decent back up for a small defender role as we dont have allot of these types, is a cheap option that should be in 2s until he can play same brand of 2013.

Not sure what is more embarrassing, a player's father trolling people on his son's thread, or people biting.

Which poster is Steve's father?

Sorry TT74 imo he has been a weak link for years, again this match he was terrible and I don't buy the shoulder thing, he is too slow and doesn't think fast enough. Not a patch on his father he put together some good games for RFC and Collingwood

Didn't watch the replay until after I watched this thread. Morris was the last Richmond player to touch the ball or the goal was kicked by his direct opponent in 10 out of their 16 goals. This has not been obvious to me in the past, perhaps because he is ferociously inept its not obvious.
