Steve Hocking

Why isn't the club calling this out?

Blatant manipulation of the rules every year aimed at our strengths in order to topple us.

How can this be allowed to happen year after year and the club say nothing?

All the time and effort we've put in to get us to the top, and it's been dismantled with a stroke of a pen

Or are we just whinging again?

We need to grow some balls.

(actually forgot about the 666 rule introduction and the discussions beforehand how we had 2 extras running in from the square. *smile* brought that in also to impede us)

Thought so. Even though the "break" ie non playing days total 6.
Taking it to a ridiculous level if we played two days in a row that would be classed as a one day break. Appropriate that something illogical is on Shockings thread.
Taking it further, by your logic if you played 2 games on 1 day you would have a minus one day break.

How can the stand rule be considered progressive ,player's where doing that last century.
All he has done has gone back in time ,looked at the way the game used to be played ,and has stopped player movement on the mark ..

Seriously the Afl need to reset the game, and only use the rules that have had a positive effect on the game,,and no more individual people making rule changes ,the clubs decide on any ideas.

It's a fair point.
The administration's rule changes were a direct & unprecedented attack on our game play. Now this person has returned to the club he came from.
Absolute conflict of interest.
Deserves to be called out.

And all by one bloke that came and returned to the club we have beaten in the 3 finals to win our 3 flags.
Geelong are spewing that Hocking wasn't around in 67, 69 and in 1980.
We bend Geelong over when it counts

The media know it, but besides Michael Warner the rest don't give a shiit.
They hate us.
How about that so called Richmond supporter John Ralph.
What an absolute fkstick

Too many know where their bread is buttered. They haven’t got the balls to call them out.
They become persona non grata. They’re too busy chipping away at trivial stuff! Rather than breaking a story and putting it out in the open. They’re complicit when they do the bidding of AFL HQ.
Call for change, reverse all the stupid rules they bring in. Most of the time it’s the afl’s own rule changes that stuff the game, then they have to find new rules to try to fix their own actions.

Do you expect Ralph to criticise the AFL? If he did they’d take away his accreditation and he’d be out of a job

That's my point, he would seem to be an ideal candidate with the perfect set of skills and experience, but he is being *smile*-canned before he even sits in the chair, let alone makes a decision.
there is a good reason for that, the AFL has a long formline of opaque, nepotistic, corrupt, reactiveness, Hocking being the latest exemplar, albeit a gold standard, AAA exemplar.

Get good governance, with transparency front and centre, and I'm on board. There is no mechanism to make that happen, it has to come from within, so it won't happen.

edit, thats at the macro level. at the micro level, Brad Scott? are you serious? perfect set of skills and experience? From an AFL perspective yes, bang-on, Boys club, ego maniac, head-in-the-trough skills and experience are off the scale.
