Very nice.
LIkey. ;D

Bass guitar sounds amazing.

Like the song you put up also.
Love arty punky poppy with a hint of prog stuff.

There's something about this song that just puts me in a good mood.

Never even heard of most of these spuds. :hihi

You must be very young. The Stranglers were far and away the most accomplished and prolific Punk band of the 1970s.
They were musical conservatoire graduates, who went in for Punk music, after being involved in classical & jazz music.

For me, La Folie is their best album.

The Pretenders had some great songs.

Pretenders were excellent, although few would consider them Punk.

I took my then girlfriend, 28 years since wife, to see The Pretenders double billed with Talking Heads to the now Westpac Centre about 1984.
Pretenders were nearing the end, and were terrible.
Talking Heads were brilliant, opening up with Psycho Killer, with David Byrne in the BIG suit, then through all their hits, although Talking Heads had been going for 10 years before that.

No doubting Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders were an excellent band. Shame I didn't see that brilliance live.

David Byrne is a brilliant individual.

Apart from his history with Talking Heads, he has since made films and written operatic scores, etc.

I remember a film that he wrote & made in the early 1980s, that predicted city communities would move from their traditional city centres to big shopping malls that would supply all city services.
How prophetic was that?

Great band Talking Heads.

Here is a band I've discovered.

Spirit.

What a band!

From the brilliant album, Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus.

This album is a cracker.

Sounds like it was made way later.
The production is mindblowing for 1970.

The bass guitar has that deep wamth late 60's vibe that fills the room.

This album is as good as anything I've heard.

A song about the old race car drivers of the distant past, many who lost their lives.

Haha Great song that one.

I remember a band doing a cover of that song in the 90s.

Here it is.

I have the cd but never play it now.
