Good ole Tull.

Barriemore Barlow on drums one of my inspirations.

This was played 2 months after the mighty Tigers won the 1980 Premiership.......good enough reason to stir my emotions!!

Compared to other old bands who have reached pension age, at least KISS still have that make-up to cover up the wrinkles. Smart move. ;D

The song I remember which kept on playing after the 1980 flag was Can't Stop the Music (Tigers) by Village People.

Hi TigerForce, indeed time waits for no one and the once mighty KISS have slowed down considerably! Unfortunately they have become a joke now.....hard to respect 64 year old men in make-up and costumes

A few of us are gonna try to rip this out Round one PUNT ROAD END.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwvazMc5EfE

The chorus part.

ONWARD THE TIGERS
ONWARD THE TIGERS
EAT EM ALIVE BOYS
AND NEVER GIVE IN
FOR THE HONOURED TRADITION
THE GLORY OF OLD RICHMOND
WE PLAY THIS GAME
AND WE PLAY IT TO WIN

ONWARD THE TIGERS
ONWARD THE TIGERS
WE'VE GOT THE TEAM
AND THERE'S NOTHING IT LACKS
WE'VE GOT HEART
WE'VE GOT SKILL
WE'VE GOT EVERYTHING AT RICHMOND
WE ARE THE TIGERS
THE YELLOW AND BLACKS

Everyone join in.
Let's make this our own ANTHEM!!!!!

A calming song before the storm of the season.

Great doco doing the rounds only at a few cinemas (saw it at Brighton Bay) is 'Searching For Sugar Man' about the music artist Rodriguez who released 2 albums in the early 70's that both failed to sell, but his first album (Cold Fact) become a massive underground hit in Apartheid Sth Africa. - and in Australia as I've since discovered.

Doco tracks 2 South African fans who try to find out what happened to him as there were a number of myths that he had met his demise, but there was no information anywhere about him.
At the time he was being touted as the Latin Bob Dylan. His parents were Mexican who moved to Detroit for work and he used to sing in the bars there before being offered a recording deal. Cool looking dude with a distinctive voice. You can you tube Rodriguez or Sixto Rodriguez to see some recent video footage - he is now 70 and touring again.

'Sugar Man' is the first song on Cold Fact and is one that can just stick in your head - check it out.

Went and saw him Easter Monday. Good show. Can see the Bob Dylan reference for sure.
He even played a Dylan song. Also did Blue Suede shoes. Apart from that just all his own stuff. Very enjoyable gig.

Wow. Can't believe he is still alive and touring.

What's the point of being on that stupid ticketmaster email alert list? All they do is keep offering me tickets to see former Australian Idol contestants or non-events like Birdy. Then Rodriguez passes unnoticed.

Glad you enjoyed the gig, Doggy.
