I got accused by Leon for believing i spoke for all richmond supporters regarding my opinion on this spud earlier on in the thread, Which i dont believe i did BUT

Looking at the posts i think i might as well have - Have only seen 1 person in support of the spud

Over to you Leon

Hampson served his purpose as a backup ruckman. Wasn't great at it but with limited depth in the area he has done his job. Should have never been recruited in the first place. Had his severe limitations but those were the days when we often made bad trade judgement calls. Thankfully we've nailed it last couple of years and hopefully we don't make too many mistakes like this in the future. Still on out list but I'd be getting games into Soldo, Chol and maybe a couple of games of exposure for the likes of Balta and Coleman-Jones as relief ruckmen. Unfortunately we are still very susceptible in the area if Nanks were to get injured.

So now you want to reveal you can't count either, Turk. Sorry but better things to do than engage in a school-yard spat with you. I've already said, you're welcome to your opinion. Besides then I have pesky UKTiger, the dud comedian, claiming I'm provoked.

Final comment though: many clubs have suffered from serious injuries to their key rucks over recent years (forever really). Witness Weagles without NicNat, Vardy with a similar very chequered injury career came in handy in '17. Port were down to Trengove at 197cm in '16. You never know really.

But go please yourself anyway. Said everything I need to say on the Hammer. It's make or break for him in '18 with his back, and contract. So be it.

It wil be great to get closure after 11 seasons and 100 games whether he makes or breaks.

How many AFL games did you play over your lifetime, Lovey? [Prepared to be amazed everyone].

I don’t like bagging Richmond players but I have never been a Hampson fan. It’s an great shame for him he hasn’t been able to get on the park but in the end that has lead to the emergence of Nankervis. If Nank goes down we are in strife but Soldo will have to step up because Hammer doesn’t offer any more than he does.

Talk about a rant about something that nobody understands, I actually rad this post 3 times and even more confused about you , Seriously are you bipolar ?

But the last bit was the funniest thing i have read so far this year. 2018 is make or break for Shaun Hampson - MY GOD !!!!
Mate wake up itsbeen broken for 18 months and that was only a patch job on the wreck - You need a VIV certificate to make it another year

Do I have to be the one to say I thought he goes home to Leon?

We probably don't share your inclinations, BT. So it's true though ... you really do go blind?

He goes home to Megan Gale. Doesn't need any sympathy or support.

Pretty sure I read an article a month or so back, that he & Megan had started a cafe around the Essendon area, to start planning for life after football.

None. There was no AFL when I was in my prime. But not sure what my football career has to do with this discussion. Maybe we can discuss this on a thread called 'Tigerloves career' in the 'Blast from the Past' section if you're truly that interested.

The Comedy Festival starts next week. #lolLeon

You're just another 'fly-in' here, hyphen. Don't think you're smart enough to work out who is winding up who. As often the case, I get bored in the off-season so just having some fun.

BTW, that name, links to an old, aristocratic English family? Coat-of-arms? Fine silverware and Royal Doulton on the table at home? Been out for a bit of fox-hunting with the hounds lately? Scored an invite to Harry and Margie's royal wedding yet ... or is it still in the mail? #lolTonyBraxtonHicks

The point is pretty simple. Even no doubt very injury marred (same for numerous ruckman - see Naitanui recently - very physically demanding role), Hampson is close to 100 games. Have to thank you for drawing my attention to that. It's an achievement for anyone to reach ... if he gets those two final games. Looks unlikely but who knows.

Leon, You are so easy to wind up. Relax and go with the flow

Very relaxed and flowing, UK, much like the streets over there in the wake of that blast of Siberian snowstorm. Enjoy!

Still very warm here in 'balmy' Melbourne with - "Richmond is set to unfurl its premiership flag under a clear sky at the MCG, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting a mostly sunny day and a top of 26 degrees on Thursday."

Got my reserved seat, of course.
