Happy to have a 201cm, developed (not a gun but a contributor)ruck/forward to provide Dimma the structure he needs up forward and in rotations to win a flag. As with Maric/Grigg/Houli/, the proof will be in the pudding. At least there is a plan in place that the club believes is important enough to forgo a punt on a kid at pick 28.

I for one am happy to trust those at the club who have got us debt free with 60,000 members and into the finals.

Of course Carlton fans will be having a dig, who cares? We'll see how he goes on the field.

Yep. I reckon Hampo will be better than expected......it's just that 2nd round pick that worries me a bit.

Good to get a back up for Ivan. We desperately needed one.

That's the real issue TF. However there are some on here whose response would be the same even if we gave up pick 60 for Hampson.

I'm laughing my head at this post, well grinning at least.

I was interested to read the actual data posted on his hitout stats, thats and watching the footage of his ruck work was pleasant surprise to me, don't watch Carlton much but only ever noticed his presence in the fwd line.

So now he is a Richmond player he is no-longer a dud and a hack and no longer Carltons third or fourth stringer. Again the ones that are really grinning are all those ignorant Carlton fans that have been annoying me today about this trade. Shattered they are, truly shattered they 'only' got pick 28. I wonder what that tells us?

Who does Megan barrack for? But seriously....

The hysteria is not only unjustified, it is insulting to a new player.

It also needs to kept in mind that Carlton kept him in preference to Jacobs.

Thirdly, Hawthorn is in the market for a ruckman, forcing up the price.

So let the naysayers take a pill,

I'll certainly support him, I'm just very concerned that we are underestimating the depth of this draft. However, if we get another second rounder all will be forgiven, hopefully a combo of White/McGuane/Nahas can deliver the goods.

Most likely to be the case. Imagine if it was our B&F winner Jacko for 2nd round pick....... :hihi

It tells me that you just may be overreacting a tad!

They are Carlton fans so their opnions don't matter at all.

Topping up? We took the second or third most juniors in last years draft. If you are going to have an opinion at least make sure it is an informed one.

What the smile does last year have to do with trading a second round pick for Hampson this year?

What do you expect? It would be a rare erudite Carlton supporter who would say 'awfully upset to lose old Hampo, I liked his work and thought he was just about to click'.

Tells me he is a bit soft and over sensitive!

What are you going to do when he marks and goals? Boo him?
He's a Tiger now, why would you wish him to fail?

Who are all these Blue supporters laughing their heads off?
My wife and her brothers all mad Blues and all think he'll be ok as a 2nd ruckman.
But they obviously wouldn't be as well informed as you.

To be honest the way I feel I couldn't give a crap about him at the moment. Maybe when the season starts, I 'might' feel differently, but who knows. And as for me not being as well informed, well it's a big club obviously when you look at the poll as to whether posters here thought 28 was too much for him. But whatever, he is a Tiger now and good luck to him and good luck to Richmond as well, recruiting duds like that we'll need it.

How old are you BT? Have you been in the habit of membership boycotts on the basis of individual players not being successful? Even given your distorted opinion of Hampson, which I disagree with obviously, its nothing on the ricter scale of dumb richmond trades, wouldn't even register.

All those dumb deals started somewhere. So you think he is worth it I don't he has shown nothing at Carlton and we paid to much.

Read your post again. Or are you really basing that entire post on trading one player from another team?

Don't get this post.

240 PRE voters hardly constitutes the feelings of 60,000 members.
