Semi finals 2022: Cleaning dog hair off the couch games

The media never fail to make f*****g idiots of themselves in the wash-up of a grand final.

As expected, they went on with the 'dynasty' BS following Melbourne's premiership, just as they did with Footscray. Funny thing is most of them aren't paid to give their 'expert' opinions ... they're there to report news.

Again they've been made to look stupid with Melbourne's straight-sets exit.

Maybe a few of them might learn something this time around and stay in their lane.
Spot on Jack
I've always Said clubs like Sydney Footscary Melbourne Nth can win 1 flag but it won't he a continuous run of success.
WC hawthorn Us Carlton Essendon can build after winning a flag others don't

Just goes to show how hard premierships are to win, let alone back to back.
Agree the Brions are building despite us being ripped off last week.
Here's hoping for a Swans/Brions GF cause I won't give a *smile* who wins.
Like I did say after our heartbreaking loss to the Lions, that I gave them a chance against Melb.

Again is it my dislike of all things this modern Cats side is, that I give them a chance against the Cats.

The pressure will be on the Cats.
You can picture how Chris Scott will be. Tense. Hopefully that body language will rub off on his players.

The Lions got the MCG ‘monkey off their back which kept on telling their record at the G.”
I think the Lions can cause a boil over.

They get Mac back which will help in the ruck.
I would bring in another midfielder-Lyon.

Daniher will obviously play because Fagan likes to three talls. I would seriously consider not playing him against the Cats.

Two talls & 4 smalls.

Just watched the Lever meltdown again. That is the most insanely selfish thing I've ever seen in professional sport. Amazingly amazingly me me me. If I was Goodwin he'd be off to GWS.
Once he gave the free away it didn't matter, he may as well have kicked the ball into the stands, but his reaction to a free against did make me double check he wasn't a Geelong player.

We were one FARC cheating call away from serving some revenge to the thug Stewart and his cheating mates.
Spilt milk and all that, but last night certainly showed we would have had a good shot at winning.

Lever shoulda been done for dissent….oh what, that was only a rule in April….
To me Lever brought some of that arrogance, lip, mouthing off to his players when did wrong from his days , GF Adelaide vs Richmond.

The arguing and fighting between the Adelaide players at HT could be heard by Grigg. It got to their heads as they believed just turn up and the Tigers will wilt.

Same as what Melb dished up. Their arrogance, the mid season fight that May was involved in, May & Lever are like a cancer.

I see them struggling next year.

Sydney's effort against the Dees was excellent.
No one gave Sydney any chance.
Anyway, all the pressure is on the Cats.
No pressure whatsoever on the Lions.
I still think the AFL would like a Cats v Swans grand final, the Swans should win.
swans v dees was ferocious
dees battered, cant run out when not.... swans week off huge reward.
lions way better no daniher, robertson & matheson ....faster more skilled

Yeh, posters saying we were not good enough don't want to accept this season is going to be a real missed opportunity. And it wasn't simply the fault of the players/coaches.

Umpiring cost us the game against the Lions, both in game and the ARC disgrace.

The Cats game during the year was lost through umpiring. The Swans game. Crucial calls at critical times.

Our form was good enough but taking on both an opposition and a biased organisation was too much.

I'm still pissed about the Bris result.

On the flip side, the Lions have really done a great hob to get to where they are. They didn't umpire our match, they played better than I thought they could. And last night was pretty heroic really. I have to give praise to Zorko, he has really accepted his lot. Against us and the Dees he simply played footy and left the goading and sledging out. He was superb last night. And Fagan has been humble and thoughtful. Likeable. The whole club has swallowed a huge dose of humility and are the better for it. Obviously it helps when you win but their actions on the field showed character - Charlie Cameron another who has been critical.

Let's hope they can conjure up one more win.

I thought lever just reacted like a human - like Bakes did in brisbane.

These blokes have invested their life in the game,

then get wronged on the biggest stage,

They react.

Lever was clearly scrambling to keep the ball IN.

What will the umps do lions v cats?

It was a clear free though. He had the ball in both hands off the ground. He got tackled. He placed the ball on the ground. It was a simple free to pay. He wanted to check the replay before giving the ball back so he could then point to the screen and say look at that to the ump. It was self-indulgence at its worst. They were unlikely to win the game from that point even if the ball was kicked OOTF though. But he had no reason to feel aggrieved.

He was not wronged.

It was a year of missed opportunity but we weren't winning the flag without Dion.

Not quite sure. We outplayed the Cats without him. Who knows what dusty could have produced? Might have got fred up by a "poor" finals performance.

We'll never know.

100% MJ

You have the footy - you dispose of it with a kick or a handball.
You don’t just put it in the ground.
Free kick absolutely correct decision

Surely the preliminary won't be at Pussy Park next week??? A half completed cat litter heap. MCG had to be!

Not wronged - just messed up big time twice - once with incorrect disposal and then for being an *smile* idiot
Two correct decisions by the umpire.

Was never any plan to have finals at Crapdinia park this year with the ground under redevelopment.

Interestingly early in the year the Brions only lost by 10 points at Kitty Litter park.
Lachie Neale is in blistering form. I wouldn't discount them.

Their pace will trouble the cats - they came out timid against the dees so I think they will need a more aggressive mindset against the cats and if they can play 4 qtrs of intense footy they could be in the grannie.

Can‘t see a place for an out of form and lazy Daniher in the side.

Jazzy, you can torture yourself with what ifs and we'll never knows if you wanna get all Rene Descartes. I've been as serene as a Hindu bovine ever since leaving the Gabba because even though we can never know, I know. Ya know?
