Semi finals 2022: Cleaning dog hair off the couch games

The media never fail to make f*****g idiots of themselves in the wash-up of a grand final.

As expected, they went on with the 'dynasty' BS following Melbourne's premiership, just as they did with Footscray. Funny thing is most of them aren't paid to give their 'expert' opinions ... they're there to report news.

Again they've been made to look stupid with Melbourne's straight-sets exit.

Maybe a few of them might learn something this time around and stay in their lane.

Pigs will fly before that happens.
I would like to be able buy a newspaper with a decent unbiased summary of a game.
Most of the media have the concentration span of a millisecond.
When I was young they were able to produce and deliver a paper within 2.5 hours of the game finishing with a full summary of the game.
Most of the current crop are only interested in scandal and hearing the sound of their own voice.
AFL accreditation is a load of bulltish.

Just goes to show how hard premierships are to win, let alone back to back.
Agree the Brions are building despite us being ripped off last week.
Here's hoping for a Swans/Brions GF cause I won't give a *smile* who wins.

That would be a dream result!

The media was aboard that but so were Melbourne supporters - certainly from down my way anyway.

The insufferable privileged tossers have been talking dynasty all season and were just so looking forward to being able to witness this one from the MCC stand. It was a travesty when they couldn’t see last years one in person. One deluded fool had been claiming they’d get 4 in a row.

Realistically, on paper, they should win multiple flags with this team. Serious embarrassment of riches in terms of quality and depth.

Buit methinks Goodwin is not that good a coach, their culture is *smile*, and when it comes to hubris, they put the supposedly arrogant Tigers well and truly in the shade.

This season is a major fail for them. With that list they had to be looking at a grandfinal minimum.

We need to stop thinking ‘what if’.

We weren’t good enough. Lacked composure and execution at key moments.

Our midfield leaked too many goals both last year and this year.

Conversely, Brisbane are building.

Geelong must overcome a team with a whiff of destiny about them.

Brissie will roll the cats next week.
Cants are vulnerable.

Lead up to PF:

GC by 60 pts
WCE by 85 pts
Bye
Coll by 6 pts
Bye

One game in 4 weeks when the PF rolls up.
One decent hit out in 6 weeks
Lions battle hardened and definitely building

Go Lions!

Lot of similarities between us in 2018 and Melbourne this year although at least we still made the prelim.

Fatigue and injuries (and a bit of hubris by the looks of things) ultimately caught up with them in the end. They now have to learn to time their run better and manage injuries and players loads to peak at the right time of year like we did. Wouldn’t surprise me to hear that Petracca’s leg being worse than reported and it affecting his pre-season.

Exactly bluey!

When Melb were what 10 most of them were saying ‘who is going to beat Melb”, ‘might as well give the premiership’.

Stuff like.

But we all know as the RFC and other teams who you would classify as a dynasty club@, they don’t hand out premierships in June.

Interestingly early in the year the Brions only lost by 10 points at Kitty Litter park.
Lachie Neale is in blistering form. I wouldn't discount them.

We were one FARC cheating call away from serving some revenge to the thug Stewart and his cheating mates.

Just watched the Lever meltdown again. That is the most insanely selfish thing I've ever seen in professional sport. Amazingly amazingly me me me. If I was Goodwin he'd be off to GWS.
The arrogance of it caught me off guard. He was basically that drunk on his and the teams enigma that he genuinely couldn't accept a free kick against him.

The proverbial, "do you know who the *smile* I am..."
