I'd have killed the bastard for ruining a monster finish, or perhaps been smart enough to turn my phone off during the telecast.

Had a brother ring me years ago while I was watching the delayed ch 7 broadcast of Tigers v Norf. We were winning by about five goals at three qtr time until Wankery ran amok in the last n tore us a new one. Bastard rang me up to hang sh!t on me just as the last qtr started on the telly n gave me the final score, completely ruined my footy evening, just flattened it.
Always turned the phones off during a delayed telecast after that, not such an issue nowadays as if I can't get to a game its on live broadcast.

You want to try watching Test Cricket on a live stream in Denmark (which gets about a minute or two delay) with an idiot friend watching it live in Melbourne texting me every time we lose a wicket.

must be another rule change. After siren can have as many on the mark as you want. (didnt look at the "exclusion zone")

The last time I remember us having a kick after the siren to win a game it was Paddy Guinane at the PRO. We needed a point to draw or a goal to win. Essendon sent out nearly their whole cheer squad to stand on the mark waving their floggers etc. Paddy wasn't the most reliable kick at the best of times and the Essendon mob managed to put him off his kick and we lost by 1 point.

You've erased Sanchez McMahon from your memory already ? Lucky you.

It's a long time ago and I was ten years old, but I distinctly remember this game:

Rex Hunt took a mark and kicked a goal to win it at the end. It wasn't after the siren but I'm quite sure the siren blew as the kick was sailing through.
Anyone else recall this?

I'm guessing it was this game: http://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1962/051419620728.html

We kicked 3.9 to 0.0 in the last quarter.
Reckon it was a windy day - 18.23 scored at one end and 5.6 at the other.
Them were the days!

LOL at Kevin Bartlett, 26 kicks and 1 handball. That must have been the game that he had his one and only career handball.

Can you imagine what his playing style would do to modern day coaches? Hardwick's head would explode.

Love lloydy... Having a great season (one of few). I like him because he is the type of player that opposition coaches must put Time into him because it only takes a few opportunities for him to hurt you. Keep going Sammy!!

got himself fit.. much slimmer than he was a few seasons back,, AFL fit not bush league fit... The sub rule scrapping has also helped him, he will rarely get + 15 touches. inside 50 pressure, 8 touches, 3 goal assists, 2 goals a game is what you want. Presto we have a 40-45 goal half forward flank!

Media yo yo - 1 week back he is a mature age recruit list clogger, the next his jumper is being auctioned for over $3500 !!, Funny game football.

I had him pegged for 30 goals a the start of the season. 15 from 8 so far so he's tracking for 40 at this rate.
