And Lloyd will always be remembered in footy circles for that. Congrats to him. And we'll done in making our weekend.
Will now go from being remembered as the bloke who kicked 100 for Deniliquin as a small forward to the bloke who kicked the goal to get Richmond home by a point over Sydney.

He , and the rest of the team, now need to settle and think about the. Road ahead...........
Make no mistake, the kick was sensational, the team were brilliant to put us in the position to enable Slammy to take the shot...but, it would be a major disappointment if we were to lose next week against the bottom team that hasn't won a game.....YET!!

I reckon we all knew he would kick it.

If you were to nominate one Richmond player to be in that position, it would be Lloyd.

I certainly knew he was going to kick it as I was watching it on delay and a friend texted me the result so I had the luxury of knowing we would find a way to kick those last 2 goals

I'm glad you had the confidence, but I reckon the majority of all those watching weren't as confident......it was a hard shot, and when you consider the amount of easy goals missed throughout the game (Lloyd included), there was nothing to suggest that he was a certainty to kick it......I was actually hoping that the umps would give us a fifty due to one of the 7 swans players on the mark, going over it

Anyone notice the one arm muscle pose he did at PRE after the game. Funny bloke Lloydy.

Must be walking the streets of Richmond like a rock star. ;D
Ch 9's Sunday Footy Show had an interview with Grigg at a function at Punt Rd, and behind him Lloyd was surrounded by adoring fans. He said that Lloyd was loving it.

Me too! With 40 seconds to go I was still worried about how we were going to get that goal ;D

I'd have killed the bastard for ruining a monster finish, or perhaps been smart enough to turn my phone off during the telecast.

Had a brother ring me years ago while I was watching the delayed ch 7 broadcast of Tigers v Norf. We were winning by about five goals at three qtr time until Wankery ran amok in the last n tore us a new one. Bastard rang me up to hang *smile* on me just as the last qtr started on the telly n gave me the final score, completely ruined my footy evening, just flattened it.
Always turned the phones off during a delayed telecast after that, not such an issue nowadays as if I can't get to a game its on live broadcast.

I'm just glad his goal will now hopefully commit Sanchez's after the siren goal to the history books.

Was there for both. Sanchez's one was laughable, the Dee's were singing in the aisle, just loving it.

Saturday night was 100000000000000000 x better. Genuine emotion, high fiving strangers, random hugs it was fantastic.

I felt pre season he would be fringe to the team, in and out. I have changed my mind because he has that ability to just bob up and kick a goal when needed.

Leave him on a flank all year and he is probably going to kick 35. He is what I thought McDonough might become at one point.

I suspect he has a bag in him at some stage.

must be another rule change. After siren can have as many on the mark as you want. (didnt look at the "exclusion zone")

he looks like a bloke that wants to kick a goal. not every one wants to.

Lloyd's highlight reel this year has been top shelf, A grade quality. The state leagues have produced another gem.
