Tiger fire sale

Expect another 4th rounder for Stengle.

So as it stands we have:

17 37 64 74 92

Have found the below site that gives you live updates to draft order and a history of players picked at those selections which is quite interesting:

Agree. He's a quality player who's just outside the best 22 in a team that finished 2 games clear on top. I understand he wants more opportunities and don't begrudge him. Still, we should have got at least a 3rd rounder for him. 64 is way too cheap for a player of that quality.

Pretty ordinary trade for us.

He's a 29 year old fringe footballer who, as ToO has pointed out, we have seen the best of.

Would have been borderline reckless for the Dogs to offer us any more value for him than 64.

Agree with Ridley. IMO we have been deluded by an amazing injury run, which may be great management but has to be also 50% luck, into grossly under-valuing our quality second-rung players. Other clubs see the value and will obtain the benefit.

When we do get injuries, we will regret these cheap off-loads. Thin replacements and untried draft kids with Stengle going too.

Lloyd can kick very well too; an elite goal sharp-shooter. Might be regular first 22 for the Dogs.

This year Lloyd was virtually 23rd best Tiger every week.

I think this means Bobble is now into 23rd wheel.
(assuming Short and Higgo remain in 1sts)

So very unlikely now to lose Bobble IMHO.

(If he did go who is next into 23rd spot?)

With lloyd miles ellis and conca gone who are our backups if say prestia cotch lambert get injured? No one is left in the ressies. We can't rely on good injury luck which we've had in the past couple of years. Hoping we have a mature mid or 2 in mind

kids i assume. and I am OK with that.

good luck Sam sorry to see you go. pick 64 is a bit of an insult to the guy, but hey.

agree Harry. those 4 are quite similar in a way. do we have a surprise trade incoming to fill that gap?

The players we lost I don't call them depth besides Lloyd thats all. Miles 1 game,Ellis 5 games and Lloyd 3 games and Stengle 0 that's not depth.Miles and Ellis have had chances proven nothing.Rather get a bunch of kids from draft and couple of state league players add new blood.

I reckon they'll look to others in starting 22 (Higgins, Rioli, Butler, and possibly Vlaustin) to come into the midfield and bring the likes of Ellis, Bolton, Baker, Menadue and Markov in to play in pockets or flanks.

we've lost depth in the sense of good people around the club D30. Cotchin has been very complementary of Lloyd, Miles and Conca and their influence on the playing group and the club. they'll be missed. there's a bit of change going on but reinvention is healthy.

Some are looking at this from a differing perspective.

We have been blessed with an amazing run with injuries in the past couple seasons and therefore haven't really required the need to utilise the depth players.

A few more injuries and being without the likes of our departed players we would have been stuffed.
