Hope your source is right.

Alex Fasolo joined Carlton as an unrestricted free agent. Collingwood got pick 57 as compensation. Meanwhile Richmond sent Corey Ellis, Anthony Miles and a future third round pick to the Suns for a future third round pick!!

I'd rate each of these former players of ours as being of at least the equal or better of Fasolo (given recent AFL games, age, injury history/problems).

Clearly extra good will to GCS for the deal and not matching.

Ellis better than Fasolo, yeah nah. Fasolo has achieved much more. Clearly a better player. Agree with the Miles / Fasolo comparison.

OK we agree on Miles; a fringe inside mid has to be rated as high or higher than a fringe HFF.

But I was factoring in age with CEllis - if he does carve out some type of career at the Huns - only just turned 22 as against Fas being 26. Unknown ATM.

As the bald man from The Oils once said:

"Short Memory, must have a!"

Fas kicked 6 recently one night to destroy us.
Miles needs a whole year to kick 6 and then still questionable!

Kicked 11 most average goals in the competition in 2016, 5th of the small players so clearly can kick goals (had a lot of injuries since). But I'd agree as I think most would that Miles is a better player overall.

It's not an inside mids job to kick a bag of goals. Just a bonus. I have always rated Fas as dangerous but due to a combination of factors, he's lost a spot in the Pies first team.

In 2017, Fasolo's last good season he kicked 29.29 as a small forward.

50% goal kicking accuracy not so good.

In 2016, Miles last good season Miles kicked 10.1 as a midfielder.

91% accuracy seems pretty good to me.

Pretty ordinary trade for us.

Agree. He's a quality player who's just outside the best 22 in a team that finished 2 games clear on top. I understand he wants more opportunities and don't begrudge him. Still, we should have got at least a 3rd rounder for him. 64 is way too cheap for a player of that quality.

Meh. Not fussed about losing Lloyd. Only going to get slower and would never had nailed a starting spot in our best 22. Young kids or state league talent to be given a chance. Happy we are finally moving on these sort of players. For years we have kept them around for too long. Finally becoming a professional club

You,d assume Sam would be better value than what pick 64 will provide but we,ve done pretty well from our latter picks.
