Can you put your hands instantaneously up as a chime sounds while trying to officiate a professional sport? That’s a pretty unreasonable expectation. I’d want the umpires near the play to have their focus on the play and then the other umpires to help with timing.

What is wrong with when the clock hits zero the game is over? It’s nice and clean and not subject to interpretation. I’d actually prefer them to use ARC on it like a late shot in basketball with the shot clock running down. If they did this would show the umpires got it perfectly right in this instance.

The game is over when ‘the flog’ hears the siren which according to TBR is directly played as a chime in their earpiece when the timer clock hits zero. Seems a perfect system to me.

The clock hits zero with the ball in bounds. So there is no free kick to pay.

I remember in some past controversy it didn't matter when the clock shows zero, it's over when the umpire calls it with the arms up. In this case, he called it with arms up AFTER the ball went OOB. Why am I repeating myself??
