Round 14 - Other Games

If we can just get ourselves together and find some form, this could be the easiest flag of them all .
Footscary and Melbourne are we serious?
Geelong are Collingwood im September.
Port, Brisbane and Wc on the G in September, whats the difference between playing them and having a bye?

Hopefully Stack lynch Nakas can come back have a impact because there's a flag for the taking.
I reckon if we finish 5th and we avoid interstate travel, we will make another GF. We need 4 qtr performances from now on.

Only watched the last quarter, geez both sides looked tired.

I was actually quite surprised that Footscray did so well, with their defence I reckon they are a very slim chance to get a flag, you need a better defence than they have.

Exciting game but very messy. When you consider this is 2 of the teams in the top 4 I can't say it was much of a spectacle.

In the end either side could have won. Bit surprised Geelong had more inside 50s in the last quarter, thought Footscray were getting it in there more. But Geelong looked more potent up forward, even though Footscray should have put the game away a couple of times, but a couple of shocking misses left the door open. You don't leave the door open for Geelong, they'll kill you.

I've said it for a while, Geelong look the goods. A team who led at half time in the previous Grand Final and added a couple of quality players, well, it don't take much to work out they should be serious contenders.

After the game my partner asked if there was a Grand Final between Melbourne and Geelong who would I prefer wins? Bloody hell that is hard. If it wasn't for Scott and Dangerfield, neither of who I can stand, I would say Geelong in a flash. Don't want Melbourne to be equal to us for premierships. But, geez, Danger getting a flag? Can't stand him, milks for frees all the time. Just hope it doesn't happen.

Yeah I reckon they'll win it this season especially with a strengthened forward line.
Geelong are a 5 goal better team than last and have a lot of players in career best form. We on the other hand have a team with only arguably Bolton and Broad playing their best football ever. They will go all the way this year. Isaac Smith and Cameron have been huge for them this year!

I'd take Rohan to win the game after the siren. George is minus 2 already this year on opportunities to clinch a close game.
Id take Miers over Castagna and Drioli on current output. Yesterday footballers at best!

**** I’m sick of Geethrow coming from behind to win in the last quarter. Year on year it happens multiple times

I wish there would be some sort of uniform ground size with AFL football. That ground of theirs is unlike others and IMO gives them an advantage. Hard to play on a ground with tiny pockets and wings when you’re not used to it.

Year on year their hopes get quashed my the tiges in Sept. Not a bad story overall

yah and it'll be especially sweet to beat them from 6th this year.

hope we get to boo them outta The G
