Round 1 (2022) - other games

Got to give credit to Geelong for maintaining the rage for so long. However, I think there has been a bit of luck involved. They managed to draft Selwood who is a generational player right at the beginning of their run. They followed it up a year or so later with Hawkins as a father son . That would be like us winning the premiership in 2017 and at the same time drafting Cotchin and Riewoldt. They also got Dangerfield in his prime which has also prolonged their window. Hasn’t won them a premiership though, let alone three. I know what I would take..
No I disagree with the luck notion. All clubs can claim that at times. The thing with Geelong is that they can draw talent silently from the collages Grammer,Joeys, and Geelong which have been a feeding ground for decades.Furthermore the town of Geelong benefits from some VERY wealthy individuals who just happen to be involved with the club and their influence to attract players is quite substantial.Ax far as their supporters go,they will fill out Kardinia Park, but go to Melbourne is just a little to far for most.I still think Geelong has the greatest home ground advantage of any team in the competition. Just like Glenferrie ,Prices, and Vic Park used to be.

I'm gonna watch Sunday's game very closely to see if the Suns are developing any good players for us.
Mentioned it last year need to look at Alex Sexton.Has goal sense and a good mark.Seems to be on the outer now at GC as named emergency for that game?

Idiotic rules and umpiring at the Gabba.
Game no longer resembles Australian Rules.
Stand rule and non call of playon allows player with the ball complete free passage forward.
50 meters awarded for trivial things that were not the point of the penalty.
This was never a part of our game.
Umpires treat players as kindergarten children.
I dont find any games that do not involve our players at all interesting to watch.

Watching the A league.
Umpire is not involved unless absolutely necessary.
No hysterical behaviour. Not bothered by player argument. .just continues to do his job.
Rules easy to comprehend.
No confusion. No need for 50 meters. No problem with out of bounds..just continue the game
This is how ours should be.
Out of bounds does not matter..just throw it in. Boundary ruck contest is a great part of our game.
Why is there a need to change our rules continuously. ..it is not necessary.

**** me, there were about 4 throws in the one passage of play, the ball gets cleared and there's a tiggy touch wood free kick paid for so called holding !!!!

Hang on, weren't they the new force? The powerhouse premiership favourites this season?
Whilst I enjoy very much watching them wankers get beaten, the fact that it's the wanker Kochies touching them up is just as bad.

Might as well get rid of the terminology, handpass, there's more throws than handpasses !!
