There's a rumour that we are trading pick ND#9 for ND#12,13, zippa. That rumour doesn't make any sense to me unless there is a player involved.

Its not a rumour, its just wishful thinking. All Hartley said was he liked the thinking of the person who suggested it. Not that it was something they were looking at.

I reckon it was doing the rounds before that, Tt. Can't remember where.

Ah okay, thought it all came from that. Can't see it happening. If GWS want less picks because they have too many then they won't want a pick + player as that would defeat the purpose. They'd want a high pick, or at least higher then ours, I'd think.

Pick 6-7 would be what would get it over the line IMO.

It does seem pretty extravagant, Tt. But smells like there might be something to it.

Would be an interesting proposition.
One thing GWS needs more than anything is a few mature players to guide their kids along. Someone like Nacho would be a fair example of the work ethic and persistence needed to build an AFL career.

ARCHYBOY has posted an intersting rumour on the topic -

Where it gets interesting is GWS think 13 is to much, we apparently think a pick around 30 is not enough which is why a packaged deal might come in.

He's no champion obviously, but who plays forward pocket then?

He is fast and still has room for improvement with experience in pressure games , which he clearly needs. Richmond know that there are very few players to replace him and will keep him.

Conjecture / speculation fun?? God, I'd like to know you're idea of torture. Getting Knights for nothing and Chaplin cheaply.. that was my idea of fun.

My 5 year old who absolutely loves "oozie" hopes you are 100% correct.

Bumped into Robbie this afternoon at the JB HiFi in Glenferrie rd, Malvern. I asked him if he was going and he said "no". He also said he'd just signed a new contract. I don't know if this true. However, he was really positive about the club and said he loved playing for the Tigers. He seemed pretty genuine.

Also met Francis Jackson at a barbecue. Said we were looking to pick-up a Victorian in the mould of Ellis and Conca with pick 9. I took this as a big bodied player, who can kick and is ready to play from round 1. My little ferrets play footy with Craig Cameron young boy and he's always saying they want to recruit big bodied players with early draft picks.
