Robin Nahas

in trying conditions for a little fella i didnt think he was our worst today, but things just didnt work for him.

Today is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen him hand off the ball to a teammate who lost the ball when he could've kicked a goal himself. Why does he do it??

He isn't the answer up forward, can't out mark, he struggles to convert from 40 out and has introduced the head charge this year that has got him half of his goals

If he'd converted today we'd have won and he'd have been in the best. Should have had a least three but he can't kick 40m. Maybe four. Everything else is ok if he could just fix this glaring problem. Maybe he can.

Maybe because he can't kick on that side.

We have two feet and legs.....use them! Boot to a goal is more chance of a score than hand-balling out.

He doesn't stop trying and was our most dangerous forward today along with Edwards.

He wasn't getting much support out there.

I thought his output was a pass mark today he tried and looked dangerous. There were 10 I would look at giving a slap before him.

Nahas was totally spent at the end of today's game. Coukdn't even walk.

Not too many others were IMO.

The skill of kicking proficiently on the non preferred is on area where I think the general skill level has actually gone backwards since my first memories of watching league footy back in the 80's. It's a bit counter intuitive when you think that we are now in an era of full time professionalism where players have more than enough tim on their hands to practice these types of things at nausium.

Average goals scored in games outside Victoria:

1.91 Riewoldt, Jack 44 23
1.17 Miller, Brad J. 7 6

1.00 Martin, Dustin 12 12

0.52 Edwards, Shane 11 21
0.50 Graham, Angus 4 8

Luke Power kicked - what was it? - 70 goals as a 19yo in the forward pocket. He is a class act. And he was too good for Nahas yesterday. But when Rockin could get clear he did not punish them. (Ok, one brilliant short pass inside.) He had to kick that goal.

Had a great season last year, playing through the midfield.
Would like to see him in there at some time during the rest of the year, because as a forward it's just not working. He just gets pushed off the footy too much and his work in traffic is not too good.

Becoming very much a front runner is Robbie.

Good against poor sides but struggles when the pressure is upt & time & space become a premium.

List management wise think we need to try & upgrade at draft/trade time.

Agreed with Leysey he is not the answer but thats always been my opinion of him.

Id have him on the trade table for sure this year.

I'm a fan of Nahas but he never seems to have space, always trying to to have snap kicks or trying to baulk and dummy around 3 guys. Maybe its part of the "structure" that he has to stay in the pocket? I dont know but he doesnt crumb the ball often enough then either.
