Robin Nahas

Yep, drove me nuts. Almost as if he was wearing the wrong boots...fell over or went to ground way too often, some at very crucial times.

Big gap between his best and worst...needs more consistency. Can't have both him and Kingy having down days. If little Maric plays well today, he should come into the side, probably for King.
Although Kingy is underdone and Nahas is as tough as a feather, little Maric has shown absolutely 0 at senior level to suggest he should get a game let alone add any value.
Is slower than King, softer than Nahas, doesn't chase and doesn't tackle.

Maric's effort at Geelong was deplorable.

Will need more than a couple of good games at Coburg to redeem himself.

Not clean with ball, and gets caught way to often.

Agree just goes to ground too easily, and has zero penetration on his kick. How can a forward who is paid to kick goals, look so uncomfortable when lining up for goal from 25 metres out?? Does he just have zero confidence in his set shot capability?? Was mind-boggling.

Robin doesn't rock when it's hot in the kitchen. Has been found wanting against quality sides.

Disagree. He showed it in last year's game against Norf. Give him space and he'll perform. Our whole forward line is a disaster ATM.

Yeah you're right but I was referring to this year so far. I'll pray for the Hawk defence to give him space.

I've been a tad critical of Nahas...well not so much critical, just had doubts. But last night he stepped up under pressure when he was needed, first with a long run and accurate pass to Maric, then nailing a long goal that really hurt the Saints. Well done Robin.

Did you like the bit where Nahas was doing the chat thing to his opponent while still in the high tackle. Not only is it a bit of fun but more importantly it is a sign that Nahas has some self-confidence and self belief. That has been a long time coming, I haven't noticed it before from him. All the players in the team have to learn how to strut and how to "bully" (in a manner of speaking) if they are going to demand their spot and be a player in a top four side.

He stood up when needed and I thought he was in our best three players.

Our general pressure around the ground was not good enough in the first half Nahas, King and Edwards quite often set the tone on this. Nahas in the last half was best player on the ground. And he was so slick in setting up the goal to Ellis.

Yeah, thought his first half was ordinary, but he revved up during the break and was a key in the second half.

That long goal he kicked on the run was a beauty.

Agree Streak. Real poor first half. Got a rocket at half time I recon. different player in the second half!

turning into a reasonable player, but there is still a massive gap between his best and worst. needs to be more consistent

This is the case with most small forwards, it's part of the territory. The one thing that is consistent from him every week is his defensive pressure. He is always up there for defensive pressure acts.
