Robin Nahas

Out of interest who tagged him and how was there influence on the game?

He really is becoming an important player contributing each week. I love him taking the game on and finally having some support when he does this.

Geez I was wrapped to see him have a major influence in the 2nd half after a quiet 1st half with a tight tag.Come a bloody long way, I didnt see any future with him. Was talkin to ToT70 at the footy and we mentioned how he (RN) said at Club80 his poor work rate re training an DH has iddentified that an his gone full circle

In fact, straight from the horse's mouth, words to the effect of...

"The coach told me to stop playing my Play station all day and use my time to get fitter and either get a job or enrol in a course."

Even more so that he got away from the tag in the second half.

And no slouch either, Henry Slattery owns Alan Didak. But Nahas got on his bike and used his pace to get separation from Slattery who for all his guts and discipline, is lacking for pace. Nahas also got a few kicks by running hard towards goal and coming back onto the ball.

It was great thinking by Nahas or great coaching because there was a different Robin Nahas in the second half. Great sign. But he will cop more close tags if he keeps this form up.

I was told by a bloke in the know last year that all players have a notebook in which they're supposed to make a study of themselves and the game, areas to improve etc. Apparently Radar O'Reilly's was full to overflowing and Rockin's was empty. Looks like he made plenty of notes in the off-season, as well as working his butt off. Credit to him, his run and pace are crucial to us now. He's gone from delistable to dangerous.

Didn't he also get tagged against the Dogs as well?

High praise when we have the likes of Dusty, Cotch & Lids in the team.

Just so impressed. I wrote him off at start of year but im wrapped he proved me wrong. He is super fit and running hard. Its amazing how things turn around when you are willing to work hard. Too many footballers waste their opportunity. Great to see a rookie listed player push himself

* 12th in Tiger Disposals
* Kicked his first set shot goal of the year
* Laid 5 tackles, a big number from a small bloke but nowhere near as much as Jude Bolton (11), Craig Bird (10) and Martin Mattner (10).
Tiger high tacklers were Grigg and Jackson both with 9 only one converting into a FF (Free For).
* Quiet game. Is he really getting tagged? Robin Nahas? Wow who would of thought last year.

Is he out of contract at the end of the year?
If so want does he get?

Yeap out of contract.
I really do hope we keep him on, he's only going to improve.
Havnt heard the likes of GWS or anyone trying to lure him as of yet.

Must keep. Has been one of our best in the first half of the year. Another big pre-season will hopefully see him improve another couple of percent. He does need to learn how to use his left foot which is non-existant and exposes him somewhat. Not sure if you teach and/or practice how to use your left at his age - probably something that needs to be encouraged and taught from junior years...that's my biggest gripe with him.

On Game Plan AFL last night , the panelists were asked who was the most improved player in the AFL this year? I of course think NAAAAHHHHAASSSSS!!

M. Lloyd, apologist : Michael Jamison = ok considering what a rabble carltons backline was last year.

Cummings, buffoon : Dale Thomas = really went for a dark horse there.

Luke Ball, players player : Robin Nahas, come on down. According to Luke, Nahas has gone from trying to hold his spot in the team, and we are talking Tiges 2010 vintage, to being someone opposition teams are starting to put a lot of time into stopping his run and influence.

This is great praise indeed, coming from a player known for his work rate, tenacity, and honesty both on and off the field.

Speaking of honesty, Ball said he didn't have much contact with N. Riewoldt anymore, but he still had a few friends down at the saints. Seemed like a really intelligent bloke, forthright and no BS answers to delicate questions. Maybe another reason the Karma bus pancaked the saints.

Ball was the only reason i was happy seeing the Pies win the flag last year.I hope he sent a sms to Ross Lyon holding up the cup.

Amazing to think that Collingwood secured him for virtually nothing.

Saints were offered either Goldsack and a draft pick, or Wellingham and a draft pick (from what I have heard), and they said no. Got nothing for him. Massive blunder.
