Richmond vs Hawks-Game day thread

LOL. Spud Dowler has kicked 4 against us. He's been playing as a back all year and he's not good. He also looks like a chicken and has a massive head.

Don't you remember? We play everyone into form.

Everyone turns their career's around against us. *smile* joke

Deledio is the only positive. IMO one of his best games ever. If only we had about 5 of him so we actually had some talent running around with a fair amount of skill.

Yeah well when we make such fantastic moves such as playing Polo who's a foot shorter than him on him of course he kicks goals. Rawlings has some seriously silly matchups. The way they continue to play Rance as a mid is ridiculous, especially when Thursty went off in Q1.

Wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave. Who'd want to play with that bunch of losers.

Then McG gave away a stupid free for another Haw goal.

Stupid action by McGuane but it was a big acting job by Osborne. As for Franklin's hit I reckon he might face the tribunal.

This I do agree with.

Deledio superb.

Agreed. In a side of dumb spuds with no skills he stands out like an absolute superstar. Makes me cringe actually, seeing his talent go to waste in this side.

I'd hope he wasn't that soft and cheap.

If he stays with RFC he'll more than likely play his entire career without playing finals. We suck that much.

I don't want him to leave as he is a gun but I couldn't really blame him for wanting to get out of the festering den of failure that is RFC.

I reckon the club knows a massive cull is needed. You would hope Deledio is around for another 10 years and if this new coach/footy dept combination gets things right, he'll play finals.

It's the bottom end of our list that needs to be improved - the top end is ok, unlike 5 years ago.

Yep and then we may as well let Cotchin go and Post and Collins and Vickery shut the doors and give up.

Can't argue the club is ordinary but talking about players leaving if he wants to go he should be pointed at and called a dog for not sticking and trying to be part of the solution.

Is there any evidence at all, apart from poster comments on here, that Brett wants to leave? I know he was bemused earlier in the season when contract negotiations hadn't been initiated.

Yeah I bet Ottens is really disappointed he didn't stick around to be part of the "solution".

I generally agree with your sentiments but I'm just so sick of watching pitiful losers play for RFC that I couldn't really get pissed off if a top footballer like Lids decided to look elsewhere to seek success in his chosen career. He won't see it at Richmond.
