Richmond 2017 AFL Premiers

Just looking at the player ratings on afl.com, pretty hard to take them too seriously when the best small-medium defender at Richmond is Vlastuin, who comes in at the 37th best for that position. Grimes rated the 50th best, behind the likes of Luke McDonald, Sean Atley, Broadbent, Maynard, Pittard, Gleeson, Gilbert, Suckling.....

Not sure how we won the flag when you look at the ratings. Dusty & Rance did it themselves.

It’s by Michaelangelo Rucci. Mad Port supporter. I wouldn’t put it passed him to write it up like that to mess with the crows minds.

Wrote it because he is a News Limited hack paid to sell papers Ie give them what they want to hear.

Yeah, stats schmats. Don't indicate timing or quality of possessions. Useful to a point sure. As I said on the dusty thread, t Adams and t Mitchell are more expensive to buy in fantasy footy than dusty.

I hope Dimma makes the players aware of those ratings, and tells them that they're not rated. Could be just that little bit of incentive that keeps the guys hungry and up to the mark.

Flossy missed 10 games this year. You dont rate if you dont play.

Went from 261 in league on return from injury to 219 at end of year. He stays on the park and he pushes towards top 100.

Also the ratings underrate defensive actions IMO.

They are really good for measuring offensive hurt factor though.

AFL player ratings do. In fact that is their point of difference.

Just watched the highlight package DVD , sh!t it’s funny seeing Richos body language in the granny :hihi
That was a great laugh. I can understand the big bloke, though. I reckon I was probably doing the same sort of thing during the game.

Yet they rate Cotchin so low. His stat count has gone down but his influence has only increased.

Bump.

With the Big Bash, the ODI's and the tennis it's been over week since i watched a replay of the Grand Final, i think i'm overdue to watch it again :D

I think I have watched it over 10 times but I would have watched it more had I been home by myself more over the holidays ;D

I like having it on in the background if I'm doing work at home.

:cupgold :happy :beer

It will NOT get old soon...

It's hard not to watch it many times. I've watched it with the commentaries available on the DVD, 5AA commentary and ABC commentary, not to mention with the Tiger Talk podcast description going. Then there's the watching the whole finals series again.

After 37 years it certainly doesn't get old at all.

Another long weekend meant another tigerthon, love watching the pre and post game analysis although the experts never admit they were wrong!!!

I watched the qualifying and preliminary finals again over the weekend. It’s spine tingling still.

They contain some of my favourite finals moments

Dusty to Jack to Prestia against the cats
Cotchins goal in the last against the cats
Rioli’s touch to lambert to Dusty to jack against the giants
And Dusty, Dusty ....DUSTY ...that goal in the early part of the last quarter against the giants

I will never get tired of those, I can watch them over and over again

I still love Butler's side step in the last quarter against GWS for the sealer. I still can't work out how he saw him coming.

Nothing beats.. "Advantage Advantage" Broad kicks to Townsend, Sloane *smile* himself handballs to jack, jack gives it to lambert and then onto Prestia to finish them off.

The play of the century

Anyone notice the video footage shaking when Butler and the boys were celebrating that goal? No, it wasn't an earthquake but may as well have been. That was when the G erupted and the stands were rocking as it was the moment every Tiger fan knew we were in the GF.

I yelled for so long and so loud at that game my voice didn't return till the following Wednesday. Gee it was heaven.
