Richmond 2017 AFL Premiers

Long way to the top will always be a Richmond song to me now ,

Whenever I hear it I think of 3/4 time at the g and smile .

Love to see the club adopt it as our 3/4 time song at home games this year .

Been listening to the different radio calls as I go for a jog
Simply amazing..

Forgotten Years is the song that will always remind me of the Grand Final

Same. Was a very poignant moment in retrospect and went off at the time. Looking back the Killers singing Forgotten Years in the GF pre-match was the universe telling us we were going to win!

Same here. In recent years I've been meaning to change some of its lyrics to reflect Richmond's struggle specifically rather than the war years the song portrays. However, I never did for fear it will never come to fruition. I loved hearing the song prior to the boys eliminating decades of heartache!! A day that will be hard to top.

Ditto Ditto. 20 times for each game. Never tire of it.
I have taken to watching some favourite bits over and over e.g. the unbroken 7 goal run during the second and third quarters, but syncing the muted Foxtel vision with each of the 4 commercial radio commentaries, one after the other. In doing this on the weekend, I realised that of the 16 or so experts over those 4 radio stations, just 2 - Tim Lane and Chris Judd, offered the view that even after giving up 7 straight goals and were playing scared, they still believed Adelaide had it in them to come back and win. The one thing in common with those 2? - both Carlton flogs!

yeah.

RFC should put out a GF soundtrack. I'd buy it.

Has to include " My Happiness" by Powderfinger.
Very poignant.
Before 2017 it could have been " These Days " also by Powderfinger

Maybe an indication of where Tim Lane's allegiances were on the day, his commentary of Jack's 1st Qtr screamer was pathetic.

Who's song?

I'd add Katy Perry's eye of the tiger song 'Roar' also.

7 nation army - white stripes

with 'whoa jason castagne' lyrics dubbed in.

The very merry Tiger Army sang this as we were evicted from Swan St. around 5am 1 Oct. ;D

I'd also add john denvers 'Country Road Take me Home', which a busker was playing on prelim day outside Punt Rd oval.

I cried.

probably put 'Tigerland' on there too.

To be fair, the Carlton flog on the ABC at half time switched to say that he now thought Richmond would win. Mar declared Adelaide were not playing well enough "against what is now the best team in the competition".

Anyone notice the video footage shaking when Butler and the boys were celebrating that goal? No, it wasn't an earthquake but may as well have been. That was when the G erupted and the stands were rocking as it was the moment every Tiger fan knew we were in the GF.

Yes. For me this is still the moment of the finals. Still get goosebumps watching it.
