Richmond 2017 AFL Premiers

I just (almost, because I know we dunnit) almost can't believe we beat 2 bogey sides in Geelong and Adelaide on our way to a flag... seriously, we never hardly ever win against them and we pantsed them in the pressure department then flogged them in goals.

And the smug supporters from both sides. The Geelong supporters didn’t even turn up as they were saving their money for the preliminary final.

Don’t usually watch 360, however watching grand final week replays, I don’t think the euphoria of winning the flag will ever dull down.

Been listening to the gf radio commentary and was wondering if there are any preliminary and QF commentary to download.

My mate finally had his home theatre setup in his new house finished (absolutely awesome by the way) and we watched the GF replay again. I still don't think it has really sunk in yet. probably won't until next season starts.

One of the questions people have been asking in recent months is which team had the bigger fairytale... us or the bulldogs. I guess from our point of view its the Tigers and I have discovered a stat that backs this up.

From 1983-2016 we won 2 finals (Essendon in 1995 and Carlton in 2001). To win the flag in 2017 we won 3 finals. In other words, we won more finals in September 2017, than we have in the previous 35 years. Just let that thought sink in...

I think im addicted to premierships.

I want to do all this again so bad.

Just got an email from the Superstore. 1,500 Tiger's clash premiers guernseys have finally been received from Puma and are being packaged up to send out to those who have ordered them. Hopefully mine is one of the 1,500.

I'll be able to wear a little tiny bit of the premiership when it arrives!

Currently sitting on a plane to Singapore.

Watching the grand final (lost count of how many now). Should be doing work...

A gift that just keeps on giving!

Did we go through the finals with an unchanged team? I have only just thought about this now.

Yes HR unchanged. Won the first final, preliminary and grand with an unchanged lineup - just as we did 48 years earlier (1969) and 48 years before that (1921) - although I can't confirm that but sure I read it somewhere.

Can't wait for 2065!!!

When I ordered mine, I said I would pick it up from the club. but considering it is 6 weeks late, I wonder if they will now post it to me at no charge?

does anyone else gain great satisfaction from other supporters hoping and preying we were going to lose the GF, was talking to two Essenbum supporters at different times last week and they both said they were hoping like mad the crows would win and stick it up the tigers they both suggested they were gutted that we won, gee it made me feel good hearing that, I politely told them how happy that made me feel too !! Oh life's great when the Tigers are good pity it has taken so much of my life to realise this.

I know it has possibly been said to death already but I recently lost the recorded final series of the foxtel unit (we moved and they took the old box ).

Is there anywhere I can purchase just the finals series?

Thanks in anticipation!

Some Bumhead fans I know also hoping we fail next season and make 2017 look like an aberration or a lucky season or a one-hit wonder etc...

Just like Egobourne, I'll be enjoying every hyped-up failure these syringe lovers make next season. All led by Blobbo....

Can't remember any teams in recent memory who have kept their premiership 22 together plus their best players outside the best 22.

We have done this plus added a future gun in Higgins, picked up the best father/son pick on the cheap, whilst addressing the need for talls.

Amazing effort. Thinking alot of teams will be left wondering why they didn't pick up the Brent Harvey (Higgins) of the draft before we did.

It's been interesting rewatching a few quarters from the season and counting how many players in winning teams didn't make the cut in September. That has to be a good sign of a team showing organic growth.
