60 days and 60 nights of joy.

anyone got any idea how long it'll last?

No idea, but the first year is special. I reckon by our 7th consecutive premiership we'll be looking elsewhere to scratch that itch

You just wonder what it would be like when/if the Saints win another flag.

Here we are celebrating number 11 (first in my footy following lifetime) and I am loving it.

I am actually re watching the Geelong final as I type.

sigh (content).

Bone crunching bump on Danger by the Captain. So sweet...

Just watched it for the tenth time today also.
Sigh, only won by 8+ goals.
Cotchin fabulous in every final.
Ummm, also won last two home and away games by 15 and 7 goals roughly and remaining finals by 6 and 8 goals roughly.
Not bad really.

Just watched post match press conference, with Dusty & Dimma.
Dusty is becoming quite accomplished dealing with the media.

I find myself saying from time to time.......can you believe we won the flag this year???

WE WON THE BLOODY FLAG!!!!!!!!!

I am still pinching myself!

From August till now it has been difficult to get that smile off my face

Ordered the DVD pack of the entire season, got an email today saying it’s on the way

Is that in physical shops anywhere? The local JB Hifi doesn't have it only the finals pack.

Yep.
Two months down the track and I still sometimes wonder if I dreamt it all.

I went to brush my teeth last night and looked in the mirror and saw a big cartoon tiger with '7102 SREIMERP' written under it

I actually grinned so much, I dribbled toothpaste down my chin. Then I laughed and fist pumped and I lost suction in my mouth and spilt the whole load.

covered the tiger in toothpaste.

Then I had this inexplicable feeling like I was Nathan Broad.

threw the T in the wash basket and went to bed happy. again.

Has any recent team ever won so convincingly like we did all 3 finals ?

Interesting question and I have wondered about how often the premiership team has beaten the other three in the top four in the finals and by how much.
The current system started in 2000.
Essendon did it in the first year with margins of 125, 45 and 60 points.
Since then, no-one has done it with a minimum margin as high as 36 like Richmond did this year.

The system lends itself well to the possibility of the premiership team having to play the other three of the top four during the finals, and it has happened, with them beating all three and not losing a final 11 times in the 18 years since.

2000 Essendon by 125, 45 and 60. - #1.
2001 Brisbane by 32, 68 and 26.
2002 Brisbane by 71, 56 and 9.
2004 Port Adelaide by 55, 6 and 40.
2008 Hawthorn by 51, 54 and 26.
2009 Geelong by 14, 73 and 12.
2010 Collingwood by 62, 41 and 56 - would have been #2 except for the drawn Grand Final.
2011 Geelong by 31, 48 and 38.
2012 Sydney by 29, 26 and 10.
2013 Hawthorn by 54, 5 and 15.
2017 Richmond by 51, 36 and 48. - #2.

What about Geelong in 2007?

I was limiting it to teams that had beaten the other three of the top four in the finals.
In 2007, Geelong's Preliminary Final was against Collingwood who finished sixth and beat West Coast (who had finished third) in the Semi Final.
