Rhyan Mansell welcome to Tigerland

Not a big fan of him with his limited skill set but with our current forward stocks he is useful even if he does tend to go missing at times. At least he can kick a few goals which is more that MRJ is doing at the moment

I didn’t see the VFL game but Morris apparently said after Mansell is playing wing because that’s where he’ll likely play should he get back into the seniors.

Wing? 4 Wingers are playing in the seniors at the moment, not sure what logic is behind playing Nigel wing considering we lack pressure forwards and he is making strides since the change.

Tipping he played on wing as we wanted to play a lot of outside ball against Southport
Game was played on the outside for a reason yesterday

I only saw the second half and yes he did play wing and was excellent.

But competing with Ross, Capsy, Pickett and possibly Banks for 2 spots.

Never thought I’d say this but Mansell clearly a level above VFL.
His disposal and decision making was first class yesterday.
Very impressed

He was yesterday but that is clearly the best vfl game he has played for us. I don't mind him and think he has done well this year (apart from the terrible kick that would have iced the game against Essendon) but I would like to see him do it more than once before I call him above the level.
He is definitely a more confident player these days and is also another reminder to us all not to write players off who are still very young.

He was playing good football at AFL level before the suspension and trying very hard to shake the “battler”moniker.
Comes back to VFL level and dominates. Showed skill and composure. AFL traits.
Reckon he now believes he belongs at AFL level. I think he does too. At least until someone else better comes along and takes it off him

It was great to see him play so well. Belief definitely growing that he's now an AFL player.

After a tough '22, he's one player who's bucked the trend of others & really come on this season.

I would imagine he might be our '3rd winger" rotating thru when our main 2 are on the bench.
So about 40% wing and 40% forward. Graham often fills that role at the moment.

Junior made the decision pretty easy this arvo.
Junior mightve well ended his own season today as far as senior footy goes I reckon.

Will be interesting to see. 6 disposals not enough forward of centre with the dominance the Tigers had whilst he was on the ground.

His disposals were excellent?????

His disposals were typical Mansell some good some very poor, still not AFL standard.
