Rhyan Mansell welcome to Tigerland

Yep it stands. 3 matches.

The implications are immense. The ripple effect of this will be amazing now.

To do what RM did, contest the ball at full pace and fiercely will now get you a week if you hurt someone. Three weeks if their headband flies off dramatically.
Yep, it will be 3 weeks every time. Except when it is not.

What seems staggering is that the tribunal are former AFL players????
If you want your party pies and you want them hot then you need to toe the party line!
Dont ask about what you need to do for some dead horse.

Maybe a Dave Hughes joke. Not funny at all and doesn't make any sense.

I’m livid. We can all see he had eyes for the ball until the last second. He did what we’ve always been taught to do and that is turn to protect yourself.

This should be reported. I'm expecting Andrew Dillon to clean the sh!t Gil and his fatcats have left behind.

The AFL are basically saying either don’t go for the contested ball, but if you do you can’t brace yourself for impact.
So Mansell should have cannoned head first into Aish and we have two injured players.
Hooray for concussions!
Bye bye contact sport

Okay, so those were the cards we've been dealt - now we accept it and focus on solutions:

Speed of running at point of impact + direction of ball movement should be given more attention at training. Club should do more preparation to develop safer but smart learned behaviours in these split second situations. No choice but to comply, so reinvent with a positive attitude. How can we win these?

- Slow down when the ball is dribbling towards you.
- Only contest at high speed when you'll most likely be 1st to the ball
- Don't ever contest 50/50 contests at high speed, just slow down before you get to the contest and try to win the contest another way (this is what they want, but... how do we win these?).

Players running with the flight of the ball are more likely to get tunnel vision, because they feel like they're closer to taking possession. They're more at risk, so the player running against the flight takes on more responsibility. How do we get on the front foot and find solutions quicker than all the other clubs?

And depending on the player involved.

Gaelic football here we come. :bash :bash :bash :bash
The result was never in doubt. Anyone else from another team would have escaped.
When it is a Tiger look out.
Have noticed in watching other games over the past few days, that there seems to be reluctance to tackle.

Upholding a finding that he was careless, without the AFL actually reconstructing the rules to make the act of bumping a breach of the rules, is extraordinary.
