Good game by him, but I prefer him in Short’s spot when Junior comes back. Doesn’t look like a natural small forward. He’s a Jake King or Morris type , just a battling foot soldier until we build a premiership side. Probably a 25- 30 listed player. Still plays before Sonsie bc you know he’s never going to stop trying and plays for the team. This is why he continues to get games

Was very good on Thursday night. His one percenters and hard work creates opportunities for others. It's no wonder he continues to get picked. Reckon the other players like him in.
Loved it when he outmarked their ruckman Strachan, 24cm shorter & 25kgs lighter 
Largely an anonymous game again. Mind you he was not the only one in this latest debacle
Would love to see Green given a crack in his spot for a few weeks. The exact type of player we should be going past. Would be good for the VFL side to give them some support
Meh. Impossible to judge small forwards in games where we make a point of kicking it either directly or to the advantage of intercept defenders.
My only criticism is that I’d liked to have seen him helping out more through the middle… but on a night where we had zero structure, that probably would have made things worse anyway

This point has been made a fair bit including by me - the counter arguments have been that he has another important role which he plays well - tackle and pressure, chase, runs to where the ball isn’t to be a decoy, and blocks the outlet spaces so the opponents can’t run it out.
The above do those things, but can also score multiple goals weekly
A cheese grater would do more.
He isn't AFL quality.

Correct. I think Mansell is a total goer just lacks the class and creativity of the very good small forwards
