Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

He is exactly what our midfield needs, inside and outside class who is also very effective defensively.
I'd love another one or two from this years draft FJ.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

It was a really good game from the 2nd year player, he's got a lot more improvement, but he's on the way nicely.

Yes, who would you suggest looks like a more accomplished mid?

just repeating what some tool bags on here have said in the past that he wasn't a top 10 pick and we stuffed up taking him. :)

I think he will be up with Cotchin and Martin in 2 years time.
He's a gun, very happy to see him kicking some goals now too.
Whilst Hurley is a jet too, I am backing FJ's judgement in the long term. :clap

I think this guy could be our Cousins jimbob.
Will be a genuine star IMO. Reads the play so well and is a great user and decision maker.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

What impressed me most was not his skills or decision making as I knew he was great in both areas but his contested work in the clinches and tackling for such a slight player in his 2nd year. Laid some ripper tackles and extracted the ball numerous times from packs.

And kicked 2 goals as a defender. Chimp's in his brain.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

The thing that impresses me is the time he seems to have.

He is like footy's version of Mark Waugh. Seems to get the pill and have time to just sit back and take a minute to decide what he wants to do with it. Then does it with a minimum of fuss.

I said it awhile back but there's shades of Matthew Knights in Conca's game.
