Everyone has said they don't mind the selection of Conca, but keep on mentioning Heppell as a preferred choice.
I think due our lack of big bodied footballers that Darling should've been our 1st selection and then if Atley or Conca were around for our 2nd selection all well and good.
We need to recruit players that can win a contested ball, either On the ground or more importantly in the air.

That was a bit tongue in cheek but I do rate Reece very highly, seems to have that time and space which is the hallmark of some of the best mids in the game. I don't want to give him the kiss of death but I see a bit of Matty Knights in his play, in due course I reckon we'll be veiwing Conca versus Heppell like we have with Riewoldt versus Frawley or Vickery versus Ziebell / Sidebottom.

People seem to have short memories. Reeces early season form was right up there with others like Heppel, Shuey, Swallow etc.
His first game in the AFL in front of 80K, he managed to pick up 15 possessions, 6 marks and keep Garlett to just 9 touches.
Its no coincidence that the lack of pre-season has caught up with Reece as the year has gone on.
I have no doubt he will be a very good player for us.

Still think the club got this one wrong AGAIN. We had a chance to grab a Pendlebury but instead got a Cassisi.
I'd rather it was Heppel. Conca will be a good ordinary player, whereas Heppell has the makings of a superstar. That is where we keep getting it wrong.
We try and pluck out these interesting selections as if to show everyone we know better. We all know how well that has panned out over the years.
Don't get me wrong, atleast we didn't grab a JON but we could have done better.

Reece missed the draft camp through injury, we drafted him injured and he didnt really join in training till mid-December, fair to say he's had a long year.

Can't control what others do or where they were taken but most importantly I'm very happy with Conca.
