Unlike when White left we were struggling and, as bizarre as it sounds, he was one of our better players.

He was nowhere near one of our best players. On the bench in an average team.

A breakout year? After 8 years on our list? Now that would be an unlucky break for us. Hawks were hoping the same with Vickery after 8 years on the Tigers list.

It’s been said we offered 2 years, I’m a bit p!ssed with Conca walking for a longer deal, he certainly came out in front with his time at the Tiges

I remember him running onto the ground at the start of each game bypassing the banner (and then bypassing the ball for the rest of the game)

I've posted previously about Conca. He has my utmost respect and would go with my best wishes for a good few years with Freo.

My abiding White memory is from the 2007 Geelong telstra dome massacre. The one highlight was the cheering he got (from both sets of supporters) for his sprinting work when coming off the ground. His pace was startling. The cheering started to increase from about half way through the second qtr and got louder as the game progressed. Would love to know if Whitey was aware of it.

Hardly say he was overrated. Did ok with what he had once he left the Tigers but was always a fringe player.

He had one decent season. He was the perfect player for the sub rule. I suspect we offered him a short term deal because had concerns about how his body would hold up. Long term we were proved right. Conca will probably be very similar. I didn't blame White for making that decision, and I don't blame Conca. It is in their own best interests to put themselves first. Conca

yeah was wondering who rated him for him to be overrated but yes, the Old man thought he was better than Deledio :hihi . I admired White because no doubt he got the best out of himself but was never really quite up to it.

15th/16th/17th/18 in the b&f 2011-14, then three injury-hit years before equal 20th this year. That's about where he sits, on the fringe.

Good luck to him getting a four-year deal after 33 games in his last four.
