Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

We have received an end of 2nd round compensation pick for Conca, However this will be reversed once the Lynch deal is made official.

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

Who's going to get given the poison chalice? Jumper number 30??
Interesting history since injury ( or the number ) ruined Tony Free's career. David Burke. Richard Tambling. Reece Conca.

100 games, seemed like a great clubman. Had hopes but he was only depth. Good luck. Will miss your aggression, not your hospital passes.

You say it for me too. Funny how Freo are the clear winner though; still getting a mid from a top team for nix. A dirty deal done dirt cheap.

Trade it Monday morning at 9.04am, then announce Lynch at 9.15am.

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

Conca meh. I wasn't a fan in his first few years; he was a butcher.

But I actually think his last 2 seasons, notwithstanding the injuries, were quite good. That said he's far from irreplaceable.

Anyway good luck to him. Seems a good guy and he's played 100 games so we get dibs on his offspring if they are any good (with his injury history don't think he'll play 100 at Freo).

Lynch is a great get but losing Conca for bugger all puts a dent in it.

Conca going is our bonus.

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

We got an end of second round pick for Conca! Ya jokin!

Shame it's going to be lost to Lynch, that's overs for Reece.

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

so long Chestnut... thought he did ok at times through an injury prone 8 year stint. he is from W.A.? so good for him to be going home, but working under Ross Lyon is a weird price to pay.

Which will be removed for lynch. So essentially it works out that we get Lynch for Conca. That’s pretty good if you ask me.

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

For those missing Conca, they might mull over his PF performance. Some highlights include a hack kick turnover early when he had the option of about 4 targets with 15 metres of him and then the classic which I have never seen before. Stop play , Reece with ball inside centre square, surveys his options and then kicks it sideways out on the full on the wing!

Having said that he will probably be a good influence culture wise at Freo and no doubt will be missed by the playing group.

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

I for one am a little peeved that Conca is going. Not so much that he is going as I realise the benefits but thinking why didn't he go last year so the club actually got something for him?

We have stuck by him over the years when he was injured and I understand that it is best for us to have him off the list but I would have liked him to consider the club with his move.

Just my opinion and I know we get Lynch in return but that is not my point. I want it all!

Re: Reece Conca - Going, Going,

We get 36 Lee, which is overs. We just don't cash in if we get Lynch and that's fair enough.

For me Lynch in, Conca out is as win/win as you can get.
