Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Thought he did k. Was a bit worried when one centre bounce we had just Conca, Grigg and Edwards at the centre bounce, naturally they won the clearance, but he's playing a role. Will never be the best disposer but is proving handy.

Handy? fair dinkum. eyeballs. get 'em.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Adding some aggression to the second tier of mids, making our midfield run a lot deeper and allowing others to play more attacking football. Bonus is he can go the squeeze if needed.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

For those that are more informed, any correlation Conca in the midfield with us going from getting smashed in the clearances every week to now winning? He and Prestia making the difference?

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

His kicking and decision making at times let him down, but the boy can win a hard ball and work through traffic. He's having a good year, touch wood. Definitely gives us another string to our midfield bow.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Starting to get back to his level. He’s a gun, always was, just cruelled by injury.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Played solid footy the last 2 weeks. Good at getting the hardball. Would just like to see him a little less panicky with disposal.

If he does better sign him up asap as I think he is out of contract this year.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

You would've thought after 10 years, he would be more composed. His kicks into forward 50 are us under Wallace quality.

With a track record of play 7 games in a row, miss the rest of the season, miss the start of a season, play 7 games get injured... Repeat,

There is no surprise that his decision making hasn't developed as well as we would hope.

But his style of footy is an asset.

Its always been a matter of continuity for Reece. Deserves a break.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

He was very good last night. Did some great work out of the middle when we needed a lift.

I had him in my votes in our best 3

Yep.
Hoping Reecey gets the long awaited injury free run at things. Still think I'd rather have a fit Concareter rummaging around under the rubbish getting his own chips n spilling the odd one than a Seagull Heppel lurking around trying to pinch or waiting to get hand fed the spare chip.

That would be funny if for the second half of their careers Essendon supporters moaned that they rather have Conca than Heppell.

Hope they go head to head when we play them - will answer his critics then.
