Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

His composure and ability to get out of tight situations mark him as good player and he is finally showing why he was drafted so highly. Just needs a decent run with injury, I think we are morals for back to back on recent form. If we can beat Melbourne and then WCE in Perth and Port in Adel, then we could well turn 12-1 at the bye.....

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Its great he's playing well. It really is. But somehow, for some reason, I can't get completely comfortable with Conca. I can't wholeheartedly approve. For me he's the gorgeous woman, funny, smart, but with hairy armpits. Its not fatal but its not quite right either.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Getting better and is definitely more suited as a mid.

If he can improve his decision making and disposal quality he will greatly improve our team by allowing others like Dusty to play more up forward.

I think that its a confidence thing and he can improve even more.

It's a good analogy. The armpits being that he shanks a few more kicks than he should, and people notice that. But the good stuff, the stuff you can't teach, is there. Thing is, the fact he can get it and evade but shanks a few kicks suits our get it forward fast game.

I'm 100% fine with hairy on a beautiful smart woman BTW 8-

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Reece saw a lot of centre square time yesterday. He takes the heat off a few.

Now that's funny and I've got a visual of an Kinky Amazonian German woman in my head for the rest of the day......................Thanks Hermo

Its just how it is BT.

Some people could get paid to sit by an infinity pool watching the gf replay and sipping piña coladas getting fanned by nude supermodels wafting peacock feathers,

And they'd complain the bAnana lounge waS too hard.

Funny as.
Maybe the feather wafting supermodels had hairy armpits?

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

love to see him stay fit and see what kind of player he will be after stringing 20 games together ,

Seems to be one of those that gets better the more he plays

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Did well yesterday, but want to see more evidence and against better opposition before being completely convinced.

Or they kept complaining they are under appreciated and taken for granted

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Still want to see more.

But, he was playing very well last year before injury, out of the game for a long while and came back to the reserves where he regained his form.
needs more exposure to the first's playing game plan, then he may be ready to reclaim his position.

On yesterday's performance did well.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Not much traffic to negotiate against the Lions but have to give credit when credit due. Tougher two weeks coming up so if he makes his mark then all the good for all at PRE.

Bingo. It was against a VFL team.
The problem with conca is that he terrifies you every time he gets it. His mistakes are usually costly.
Till this part his game improves im not convinced.

as opposed to the ugly, boring, dumb lady with a full body brazillian?

FWIW, I used to stay up and watch the West Germans swim in the olympics, just to get a glimpse of their black pits

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

The worry for me is that as Conca starts to win over the haters and everyone agrees he deserves his place, he normally cops his annual season ending injury.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Having the Conca Trunki n the side, frees up Martin and Graham .
Martin can spend more time forward & Graham , more outside time ..

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

After watching Conca close to 10 years now, ive finally worked out his best postion, in the centre for Peel Thunder.
Dont get drawn in people, he wasnt in the premiership side for a reason
Commentators had in the best on the weekend, if thats the best, I rather give miles a go

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Give it up Zips I like Miles too but Conca deserves his spot and I hope he has an injury free year.

Both on the fringe, both offer different strengths/weaknesses.

Conca's tools benefit the way we play. Miles is only depth, although I love the way he goes about his footy I can't see any upside. Every year is the same for Conca, if he gets continuity will become an Asset. His body has robbed us of a very good footballer. Can continue to be a valuable player if he stays on the park.
