Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Definitely reminded everyone of his abilities today. A top game, proved how he is another really useful mid. Will never be as creative down back. His evasiveness and disposal were impressive and he is finally getting back to near his full potential. This freed Dusty up to go forward more. Really positive performance for the team going forward.
e

Absolutely wrapped for the guy. Deserves some luck and is taking his chances.
Although I think he might have got ahead of himself when he attempted that party trick dribble goal. Think he should leave that stuff to Butler and Sheds

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Kane Lambert runs through a contest at pace. With momentum. He either takes possession and wins a clearance, knocks the ball our way, or is out of the play. It's a roll of the dice, and the percentages work for us.

Conca runs not through the contest, but into it, and then tries to get out. He gets the ball, more often than not. (That's half the reason he gets caught holding the ball.) He's a messier Matthew Knights. We need his mass and BWA against Melbourne.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Conca, Its the same script every year, he keeps building early season, we all start to frothing, then he goes down, let hope this year is gonna be different.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Played a good game and deserves a game next week , With Conca i only judge 1 week at a time

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Coming from an avowed "Conca phobe" that is high praise Turk.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Happy for the Concareter to continue finding form n fitness, would be great for him and the team if he gets through a season uninjured. More grunt n rotations through out the midfield means there's more opportunities for Dusty, Caddy, Cotch to sneak forward n create more mayhem for opposition teams.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Dimma said the emergence of reece in the midfield allows dusty to spend more time forward.

hes released dusty from the midfield ;D

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

A player who took no part in our Finals, comes into the team and takes votes from his more fancied premiership team mates.
He's like a new recruit.
People should be rejoicing that he's playing great footy. I'm bewilded some sound unhappy.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

Conca's desperate diving smother late in the game was impressive. And was noticed and clapped for by team mates. Hope he keeps getting better.

Sometimes his disposal is off but he has some strong traits that make him deserving of a chance to stay in the team.

Well said BT.

Re: Reece "Skills" Conca

If he didn't get injured last year he would have been a premiership player.

Spot on!
It's a real bonus for the team and the Club that he's playing like this - probably most of us didn't expect it - and like you say it's as if we've picked up an extra player.
It's a win all round for now and let's hope it continues.

Its just how it is BT.

Some people could get paid to sit by an infinity pool watching the gf replay and sipping piña coladas getting fanned by nude supermodels wafting peacock feathers,

And they'd complain the bAnana lounge waS too hard.

If I was being fanned by nude supermodels, my banana lounge would be hard too

If I had that gig my banana lounge would definitely be hard.

Edit: Beat me to it, BT! :hihi

I think he means he’s scrappy, not that he’s also brilliant with a round ball. :hihi
