Pretty hard to go past Z.Smith this week. If conca nails a couple of snags with a 20+ possie game he will get the nod.

Me too. I think Grimes will be near the end of the season though, its about the only time they actually take consistency into account it seems.

rising star awards are largely irrelevant pats on the back for ex AIS graduates to help justify the afl's football pathway programme.

Couldnt care less about the nominations.


What I do care about is the progression of our young players and they are developing beautifully at the moment, kudos to the team

5 of the 7 nominees thus far have gone to interstate teams. Looks like we just don't cut it here in VIC.

As long as he gets nominated this season he's a good chance of winning it. Been very consistently good has conca. Flash in the pan performance might get you a nomination but consistency will win it.

Yep. Martin was ineligible, Cotchin didn't win it. I know who I'd have in my team out of those 2 and the winners of the award......

I actually don't agree with the GCS marketing conspiracy theory. Scarily I think they are going to deserve their nominations. They are going to be an awesome outfit in a few years time. Very unpleasant to think about.
