Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

For someone so young, the ball feels very safe in his hands. Good things happen when he is involved.

A month of 20+ touches is a outstanding result. Just knocks them up.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Love him, but needs to stop being caught holding the ball at the bottom of packs

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

a right footed matthew knights.

can't wait until he has a few full pre-seasons and gets used to the pace of the game.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

There are three factors that augur well for Conca. He hits the loose ball at speed with aplomb - Knighta-esque (agreed). He is playing well within himself (I think due to inexperience). When he is timid (inexperience) he usually does something heroic afterwards - shy but loves a contest.

Conca can be somebody.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Gee its rare lookin at a young tiger an not having to worry about him needing to improve in many areas.....hes a beauty

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Well done to Francis Jackson - the recruiting team saw all of Reece's games last year and knew they had found a player. No wonder Francis was nervous at the draft thinking that maybe being a West Aussie that the Eagles may have picked him up - although Gaff has had huge raps on him. Finally, a draft pick 6 who looks the goods - it been a bit of a bogey number if you look at past drafts.

Said similar after his first pre-season game. Everytime he gets the ball you actually think/worry about the next link in the chain. Very Knighter-esque in that respect.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

majority of the time he is a one touch pick up of the ball a bit like a Hoover - very low to the ground I reckon his arms length ratio would be long does anyone know his wingspan ?

Trent Nicolls used to collect the ball the way Reece does.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

just finished watching the game...by jingo this kid is calm as.
as Sade would sing "Smooth operator"
and to think 7 games.
a full pre season will only add to our side next year...

head forth Conca-roo..
