I didn't for one second think it was addressed to me NY. It hasn't hit a nerve at all. I think it's an ordinary article with irrelevant things thrown in to pad it out. Feel free to point out where you disagree with me rather than judging me.
I don't feel the desire to tit-for-tat over specific points, it does nothing to my general view, that whatever the original motive, the behavior has got out of hand, and it may be effecting the (71??) indigenous players currently plying their trade across the land. One of them happens to star for Richmond.
As a footballer he is now average (he gets about 15 touches a game), so for me it is hard not to draw a conclusion that there is some racial motive behind the level of crowd noise.
From you specifically it may have absolutely no racial connotations. For Goodes, Jetta, McLoughlin (and probably others) they are now personally effected by what they hear. If that is happening IMO it's become wrong.
I'd also like to highlight that the dance this year (not angry IMO) and the incident with the 13 year old girl in 2013 were both conducted during the Indigenous Round - at a time when we're supposed to be celebrating our original inhabitants, their culture, and the positive impact they've had on the game. Who knows what was going on in Adam's mind.
IMO it would be sad that what stopped him wasn't the tap on the shoulder, the selectors, injury or a well timed shirt front, but the voice of what has become a loud mob.
i can't guarantee i'll respond further, there's nothing anyone can add IMO apart from Adam.
