R12 - Geelong v Richmond (game day thread)

Its not that we needed Bowes but more importantly pick 7.
You also have to pay him $700k. It’s not just the pick you get. It’s the baggage of paying a VFL standard player that amount of money.

I would play Blight, Gray and Bauer in the ones for the rest of the year now. Just put them in and let’s see what they’ve got

Did Geelong break the world record for Baulks??
they destroy us with the old show the ball and run around.

When you consider we had Taranto, Bolton, Prestia, Hopper all out…..so effectively we had a third or fourth string midfield - we did incredibly well. No surprise we got overrun with so many kids out there…. On the other hand - bit disappointed with lack of composure and stupid mistakes in backline by experienced players….But prob an almost perfect result. …pushed them early, but ensured we kept our draft spot…
Cats are gone surely - with the team we fielded, at Sleepy Hollow…. Very ordinary effort from them.

Good effort by Tigers if that is the best Catters can do . No wonder they lost last three on the trot. Core effort good but lacked. the expertise of Taranto Hopper Bolton Ross etc etc.

Just saw, sorry if already reported, but 16 x HTBs, 12 for Cats/12 Tigers. You just knew that's how it would work with us.

# Edit: Just corrected

Tries hard ............. If Hugo hit contests like Mansell does hed be a real likely type, and if Mansell could run and cover ground like Hugo hed also be more useful.
Why wouldn’t they have tried him in the midfield after halftime to both get him into the game and to relieve the kids who were floundering.

He isn’t a forward. He’s yet another half back flanker or run with player.
