PRE Phantom Draft 2012

FWIW the other I considered was Vlastuin. BrisTiger didn't make my decision any easier. In the end I went with the player I believe will eventually develop into the better player.

Hi guys, I understand Tora hasn't done his GWS pick #12 yet but I have to work today and I don't want to hold everyone up.

So, Gold Coast @ pick #13 pick up Dayle Garlett.

If Tora picks Garlett at 12 then Gold Coast pick Nick Vlastuin @ 13.

Write up to follow later on after Tora does his pick. Just don't want to hold everyone up guys - spewing I have to work today!

Ok I am here I have just finished my only class for today I'm about to get a cuppa and a bikkie and work it out. 9:43 am here. Cheers.

No.12 : Nick Vlastuin (187cm, mid/HB, hard nut, Norhern Knights)

We need a captain. I mean Phil's doing an ok job and everything, but I personally overheard 3 players say they wouldn't die for him. They'll die for Nick Flosstone. Unless he dies first which is a distinct possibility given his insane commitment to the contest. And as we know we won't win 5 flags in a row without some insanity. And with that, I think we are just about done with midfielders. Retrade back to Vic value: First round at least.

Gold Coast picks up Dayle Garlett at #13.

GC17 have added a very skilled and lightning quick mid in Garlett. Could well have been a top 5 pick if it wasn't for some behavioual issues. GC17 are rapt. He completes their small stocks along with Dion Prestia and Jack Martin (who will be eligible to play in 2014). Campbell Brown, who sees himself as a good role model, has already put his hand up to mentor Garlett.

Finally a pick where we here at GW$ (yes clever ha ha ha) have to think! C'mon Kev, c'mon Steve, take one for the team!

Pick 14: Kristian Jaksch (194cm, KPF, KPD, Oakleigh)

I haven't seen Clurey but I saw a bit of this guy. Obviously we need to start thinking about our defence to complement The Greatest Forward Line Ever Assembled (TM) and The Greatest Midfield Ever Assembled (TM). Good pace, hard straight lead, go go gadget reach. He's flexible but obviously we want him to hold CHBish.

Ok, pick 15...eh, what's that, our next pick is...28?! That can't be right?! Andrew! Hey Andrew....!

There is an ideal fit for GWS still on the board which would cap them off beautifully.

Can't believe GWS are going to let Tippet through to the Swans. That's not Sheedy's style

As I said, we thought we had pick 15, and 16, and 17....

i blokes. I have a fair bit on atm... give me a couples of hours and I will make my pick.

North were having a hard time deciding between Kennedy and Hrovat. Both very talented players who could potentially cover for the veteran Boomer Harvey. Hrovat has done a bit of work with Harvey and we at North tend to a bit wary of the South Australian boys...
In the end we have opted for Nathan Hrovat.

Recognising the importance of key backs, the Handbaggers are keen to find a young replacement for Scarlett and veterans Lonergan, Taylor & Rivers.

We pick:

Lachlan Plowman: 191cm, 86kg

Widely recognised as the best key defender in this years draft, Plowman reads the play well and attacks the ball hard. We think he's the perfect Kardinia Park prototype.
