Tell me more Evo, what you think of Wood?

Do you agree with my thoughts on Notte?

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Yes,I agree with you on Notte scoop. He does remind me of that Westoff too. He'll be a long wait though.

Ward is an interesting one.I've only seen him once in the TAC and was impressed but the dude I chat with when i go to Eastern games raves about him.Thinks he may go top 20 even.Good goer, who'll develop into a really good centreman probably.Bottom ager.Might be the bargain of the draft. If he makes it to #51 I'd take him in a second.

28 would be a good pick, whoops we don't have it.

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

I watched the game from Subiaco again the other day to keep an eye on ward after someone on here was talking him up a bit. Did some really courageous thing and very neat disposal.

West Coast pick Scott Simpson.

cant see eagles picking henderson and simpson

already have mitch brown and now kennedy, they need to go for mids and maybe a ruck aswell

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Nice work guys. Just thinking I would take any player all the way down to pick 25 in preference to trading for McMahon.
But hey, Miller knows best. ::)

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Same as this draft has come out.

Cotchin,Tarrant, Collier.

If Gourdis or Pears was avaialble at 18 I'd take one of them before Tarrant.

West Coast have a best available policy and we think that Simpson and Henderson were good value at the picks that we selected them at. We still clearly need another tall forward option and this gives us two plus we have also picked up Morton, Veszpremi and Greenwood as up and coming mids. Get your facts right before you criticise next time!

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Leysy probably had a big day on the punt and is 1/2 way through a 2 day bender,so it might be a while.

whats with the attitude?

i just dont think after last years draft where the eagles went tall and also with the arrival of kennedy that the eagles will be going for tall forwards with their early picks this year

their on ball division has been severly hurt with the loss of judd and cousins and the eagles recruiting department will be on a mission to rectify it the best they can

vez and greenwood are handy but id prefer mcginnty and a few others anyday

Yeah sorry, probably was a bit over the top on the response there but my point is that West Coast have 5 picks in the top 30 and I used 3 on mids. You don't agree with who I have chosen but you probably won't agree with who clubs pick in the real draft anyway. The order is always different to what people think, especially in a shallow draft like this. I have seen quite a bit of Greenwood and he has played heaps of league footy for Port Magpies, is physically very mature, is really hard at it, plays taller than he is, and racks up plenty of possessions. He's just the type that successful clubs like West Coast pick and not a skinny flanker, if you know what I mean.
