PRE Phantom Draft 2007.

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Ok we have enough skinny runts at the Dogs. We need some bigger bodies eho can get their own ball.

We take Tom Collier from the Tassie Two Heads.

Or as he looks too me Shannon Hurn mark II.

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Yeah Collier is a good choice.Bit softer than Hurn but could be really versatile.

Not as bigger call as your Arrowsmith at 17. ;)

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Bring on the Jayfox.

Mental note you may need another onballer, something about a Ben Cousins, not sure haven't hear much about it.

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

Tom Collier v Jordan McMahon, let me think about that for a minute........................yep definately a fantastic trade that one............not!

Are you a fan, Phanto?

He did play a big TAC GF. Was his best game for the season, even if he did only put in for 1/2 a game.

19yo. Only put in for half a game. Yep. He's the man for us in our rebuild. Mackie does half that. ;D

Hey evo,

Do you really think that Tarrant would be a good pick for us at 18? You don't think that it's a little bit of a reach or have concerns about his work ethic and durability? I haven't seen heaps of him so am asking out of interest from someone who has.

Re: PRE Phatnom Draft 2007.

He's durable alright,he's the strongest guy in this draft. He's a pretty traditional 90's style chf/ff.Kind of like Barry Hall.

I have a mate in Bendigo who's opinion I trust and who watches them every week,he was the guy who raved to me about Andrew Collins last year too.Big fan of Tarrant.

The main reason I picked him is because we're crying out for a strong big bloke. If Schulz doesn't end up making it we're screwed.

As far as being a 'reach',he may be a little bit,but I'm pretty sure he'll go in the 20's.That Weaver dude over on Bigfruity is a pretty good judge normally and i notice he has him at #17.

Now that we've given away #19 i really don't see we have a choice. There wont be stuff all KPP's left at #51.So we either take 1 here or go without for another year.

I could've picked Grimes,Vespremi or Collier, and if we pick any of those I won't really mind, but the way I see it a big guy is in a way is 'safer' pick.Look at Schulz,he's pretty much 'failed' for 5 years and we could've still got #28 for him.A guy like Danny Meyer taken at #12 too is worth nothing, you can't give them away.

You could probably make a similar argument for picking Bellchambers too.
