I have a mate in Bendigo who's opinion I trust and who watches them every week,he was the guy who raved to me about Andrew Collins last year too.Big fan of Tarrant.
The main reason I picked him is because we're crying out for a strong big bloke. If Schulz doesn't end up making it we're screwed.
As far as being a 'reach',he may be a little bit,but I'm pretty sure he'll go in the 20's.That Weaver dude over on Bigfruity is a pretty good judge normally and i notice he has him at #17.
Now that we've given away #19 i really don't see we have a choice. There wont be stuff all KPP's left at #51.So we either take 1 here or go without for another year.
I could've picked Grimes,Vespremi or Collier, and if we pick any of those I won't really mind, but the way I see it a big guy is in a way is 'safer' pick.Look at Schulz,he's pretty much 'failed' for 5 years and we could've still got #28 for him.A guy like Danny Meyer taken at #12 too is worth nothing, you can't give them away.
You could probably make a similar argument for picking Bellchambers too.

And has Tarrant been tested against Rance? Or any other of the highly rated backs? How'd he go? Should we do this on anther thread?
Yes.

He's probably the most intruiging guy in this draft I reckon.
He'd have to turn sideways ion a shower to get wet and will takes years to develop but he definately has talent, probably as a full forward.Great hands and massive wingspan.
Could go anywhere from 16 -35 i reckon.Would be a great bet for a club who can afford some patience(which pretty much cancels us out)
Suits the weagles best I suppose, they might take him at 23.

If some of you recall, McGinnity was the one who did the tagging job on Cotchin during the U18 Champs.
We at Brisbane will look forward to when Simon Black & McGinnity can freeze out the opposition midfields.
