And you think the Academy kids should go for the same draft pick compensation? Because Academy kids and father-sons are now one in the same thing and treated the same way, the only difference is that there are Academy kids every year and they are guns every year.

Did you know that the AFL draft/salary cap/equalisation was based on the American NFL system. Guess how many Academies/father-son type draft compromises the NFL system tolerates? (BTW if your answer is more than zero you are wrong)
My comment was only for father sons. Its a good tradition.

Does anyone know if Tigers academy was continued ? Heard Pies and Bombers now have F/S academies up and running.

Think it died years ago.

On a brighter note, Craig Lambert spoke at the Sydney pre game
Said he would love his boys to play at the Tigers
Also said the 3 of them are showing good signs.
Think Billy is the oldest & draft age next year ?

Was also absolutely scathing towards Cameron Schwab, hates him with a passion !

Let's send Richo a life time supply of VIAGRA,

So in 2032 on page 198 of father sons we can drool over nick Richardson 17 years old, 205 cms ,does 100 metres in 10.4 seconds and kicked 14 goals for Calder cannons, took 24 marks and kicked a beautiful running goal 70 metres out.

Just send him to clinic where they can withdraw a few million of his tadpoles. He doesn't need all them at the moment. Get em while they're prime. Freeze some for a later date. Easy peasy. ;D

Also tripped over his own shoelaces, then missed one from the square :)

Re: father sons- father sons 2011 2012 2013

I've seen a few Naish games lately. He's looking pretty promising, fellas.

Currently playing as a marking small half back as a bottom ager in the colts (u17s). Bit like Brodie Smith/ Laird role. Reads the play well. And managing to kick goals.

I should see plenty of him over the next couple of years - ill keep you posted. Early signs are very good. :)

Kicking skills? That's a handy type we desperately need. Lock him for 2016?

That will slightly change what we get at this years draft.

Re: father sons- father sons 2011 2012 2013

kicking is great.

He wont be in the draft until 2017

Ahh, righto. I had him drafted 16 on the list 17. This is exciting. Hopefully moves into midfield mode.

Would be a tremendous gift if by 2017 we are still a pressing top 4 side and could add a top 5 talent with our mid teen pick.

Just need another one to pop up some place. If you can get two quality father sons in the one era it's a huge advantage.

Re: father sons- father sons 2011 2012 2013

Am I right in saying Naish will be playing champs as an under-ager next year?
