Political correctness & other nonsensical rubbish

so if u treated them the same as everyone else you'd let them take the partner of their choice to the formal?
silly really isnt it? it's 2008 and yr letting this sort of thing upset u.

Depends what school i was head-master at as to whether I'd let them take their same-sex partner or not... ;)
When in positions of responsibility you cannot let your own personal emotions interfere with what the greater organisation is trying to achieve.
If you don't like the organisation then leave.....and if you don't like a religion's stance, then don't practice it.....and if you don't like a school's rules, then don't go to that school.

It impacts on MY life similarly to climate change.......not much at all.
But does that mean we should ignore it or put up with it now, when decisions now may affect the lives of our children?

I really can't think how this decision, (Brisbane wasnt it?) can possibly impact on your life or your kids. So why are you making such a big fuss?

Oh, i know it's because you don't like gays, you judge them as being abnormal and unnnatural and therefore you are using the school/politically correct concept to bash them.

Pretty poor form, Livers.

How do you explain homosexuality in the animal kingdom then Livers?

No different to human homosexuals Disco.

Talk about taking a leap.... :rofl

All I did was post a piece on political correctness on a political correctness thread.....and I stated my opinion.
That is all....no big fuss.

u used it as a vehicle for yr prejudices. u do it all the time.

It is only a personal opinion that you find my post "prejudicial" (I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who agree with my views).....and to be honest, it wasn't me who banned the same-sex couple, it was a school, and the article was in the newspaper.

Explain to me exactly how something an animal does can be anything but natural Livers.

I've seen a billy goat try to "get it on" with a human female. No joke, this happened last week. It chased her into a shed at work, she had to climb a ladder to get away from it. Old billy goat was sexually aroused, and after her, come hell or high water.
I don't know whether this is natural or not. It might be to a goat, they're known as the rapists of the animal kingdom.

Like I stated Disco.....natural like siamese twins or albinos.
Would you class these 'natural'?

Albinism is hereditary. If it's caused by a person's genes how can it be unnatural? Similarly, conjoined twins are caused by the fertilised egg splitting, an uncommon but natural occurance.

You seem to be equating 'normal' with 'natural', which I'm sorry to say is a very simplistic mistake to be making.

You're spot on....and it vindicates what I am saying.

Just because something occurs naturally does not mean that it is common practice and therefore should be accepted as 'natural'.

I don't doubt that some homosexuals are born with that gene or something in them that gives them an urge/attraction towards other males.
However, should that then be accepted as 'natural'?
No.....because if anatomically and biologically it was quite natural for this to occur, males would also have female reproductive organs.
The fact is, we do not.....so if homosexuality is 'natural' in both the human and animal kingdoms....why would it be so? why can't males reproduce with other males then?

Just because something occurs naturally does not mean (it)........ should be accepted as 'natural'

lol, whatever you say Livers.

Perhaps 'mating' for enjoyment is "natural" and procreation is unnatural. Who determines what is 'natural'? Where is Evo when you want him.
