Good observations. IF Polly can prove over the next few weeks that he's up to the speed of senior AFL then it wouldnt surprise me to see the new coach use him next year in the ruck, much like Collingwood have used Leigh Brown. Going on his pre-injury strengths, he would get plenty of the ball around the ground, is a good marking target and his field kicking is not bad (better than Simmo and Patto). As you say, he is also a good size and has some weight to throw around.

Best of luck Polly.
I can also remember that prior to the injury Polak got dropped back to Coburg a couple of times, played well at that level, was selected and then disappointed at AFL level.

What exactly did you expect the bloke to do? He competed really well, setting up at least 1 goal.

Gonna be a difficult decision for the club but considering the dearth of tall talent we have (Hughes will be gone, Putt not ready, Gourdis - who knows?), he'll be a required player.

Wasn't the best game for Polly but it was awesome he had the chance to run out on the G again after all he's been through. Maybe he'll be better for the experience and seem more at home in the team next week. :don't know
