Pics 15 & 26 ND 2011 - Who should we pick?

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

My tip is McKenzie, though suggest Adelaide will be looking at him hard. McKenzie and Wingard are definately the top 2 from SA

Better than Grigg? I still question his pace as an outside player. Will be keen to see his 20m time and repeat sprint times. He has long legs and its hard to gauge.

McKenzie's highlights reminded me of Bartel
good overhead, great kick, good set shot, not the fastest going round

although it is highlights ;D

Very Mundy like for me. Not blessed with pace but still has plenty of time. Pendles and Heppell are very similar

Just had another look at him then. His kicking is breath-taking. Hope he tests well.

Won't last till 14 will he? I'm still hopeful on Grigg, he sounds a perfect fit. Ready to go and a natural footballer.

I have no idea Jimmy boy. This year more then ever it's a lottery. Anyone who claims they know what order this year will go in is dreaming.

WHR could be at 14, Kav could be, Grigg could be, Buntine could be. To me that is why the pick has value. Must keep it.

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

Only question mark I have over McKenzie is his pace. Might mean he struggles at the higher level.

Although he can put the footy anywhere off one step on his left...impressive skills.

In the same boat mate. But far out his left boot is ridiculous.

Can't see him in the midfield to be honest, good skills but screams flanker.

TAC Future Stars Phantom Draft

1. Jonathon Patton
2. Stephen Coniglio
3. Dom Tyson
4. Chad WIngard
5. Billy Longer
6. Taylor Adams
7. Elliot Kavanagh
8. Will Hoskin-Elliot
9. Matt Buntine
10. Alex Forster
11. Devon Smith
12. Toby Greene
13. Liam Sumner
14. Daniel Markworth
15. Hayden Crozier
16. Fraser McInnes
17. Nic Haynes
18. Sam Docherty
19. Mitch Grigg
20. Thomas Sheridan
21. Tom Mitchell
22. Julian Dobosz
23. Brad McKenzie
24. Adam Tomlinson
25. Sam Frost
26. Brandon Ellis

They have Mitch Grigg still being available and said Kavanagh would be a suprise top 10 pick.

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

So we're some chance at either Sumner, Greene or Grigg? Good news if so - going only by their highlight reels. By the same measure - you'd think they'd put at least one tackle by Crozier in his highlight reel - good looking player but doesn't exactly seem to play the modern day senior small forward role you'd expect. To those that know - is he a bruise free type? And the other one to catch my eye was Verrier - where will he go?

Excellent result if we land Grigg, not surprisd by the lack of talls in that list.

Yer i reckon Grigg would come into consideration. Reading a few mock drafts Markworth is pretty highly rated. The bolter of the draft. One of the better phantom drafters has him as a future afl a-grader as opposed to Grigg who he thinks will just be very good. His 10 potential A-graders are (in order): Wingard, Coniglio, Patton, Tyson, Buntine, Kavanagh, Mitchell, Markworth, Longer, Waldhuter.

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

pick 14 is too deep in the draft to accurately predict what Francis Jackson will be thinking.

He probably spotted his choice three years ago

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

Was the TAC Cup Future stars phantom done today??

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

On this topic, also really like the look of Marley Williams from Claremont to be that small defender we desperately need. See him being available later in the draft, but could be a steal for the team that grabs him.

Colts player who played two senior games late in the season against East Perth and Peel Thunder and looked at home. His total stats for those two games were

35 disposals - 17 kicks, 18 handballs with 6 marks and one inside 50, playing in defence.

An old school rover type who is a beautiful mover with pace and a penetrating kick. Great low centre of gravity and is damn hard to knock off the ball. Not a bad mark for his size either. Played more forward in the U18 National Champs, but have no doubt he will play back in the AFL.

Possibly a little undersized at 181cm and 85 kgs, but a good motor and a big heart.

A link to some highlights of him at National Champs (he is No.10 for WA).

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

Good shout Streaker.

Reckon Williams will go before pick 50.

Re: Pic 14 ND 2011 - Who should we pic?

Just looked at Williams' highlights. Looks great. Too small? Varcoe is 1cm shorter. And at 85 kg he's got a bit of bulk for a kid.

Does anyone rate Newman - his highlight reel is a killer. Small but looks an absolute jet.
