Thanks for that Captn, much appreciated. I'm sure the info is out there somewhere but I am at a loss as to where.

Is the in/famous chay room going to be running for the event? Now to try and nick my mums laptop for an hour or two... Ha ha

Indeed. I hope we get Lester. Does a lot of things well that we lack. Not a lot of love for the Master Blaster.

One thing I can say, I have no idea at all who we take. Not going to make any calls, it is a chook raffle.
Definitely is a raffle.

The only knock on Ellis is his pace and he openly admits that as well in his profile. But how slow is slow? Will it be an issue at AFL level.

Apart from that it seems he does everything else exceptionally well. His beep test of 15+ sees he will have no issue in having stints in the midfield. This is where he has it clearly over Docherty who when tested at the Gippsland Falcon recorded a score of just over 13.

Ellis has a head only a mother could love but with his attack on the footy and the man could very quickly be loved by most if not all Tigers supporters.

Don't care who we care as long as they can play and play well.
No strange names, keep it simple chris, John, frank No tristan, lockies or Myles. No hippies, no mummy's boys,
no pretty boys!
That's my formula!
Fingers crossed and all the best! For such a shallow draft There is alot good talent out there!!

coming from someone who calls themselves Zippa... :rofl :rofl :rofl

I would call him Hodge slow, Jordan Lewis slow, Heath Shaw slow. I really like the kid. His attack on the ball is first rate, almost Mitch Robinson like. I think that Ellis is the kind of footballer you would love to play with and hate to play againist.

Some people saying he looks like Mitch Farmer on the field. I think he looks more like Michael Voss and has a similar playing style to Heath Shaw. Underage footy I know but he looks very hard at it

Agree with the case of Voss-head

Assuming we want a half-back type, we could do a helluva lot worse than a Heath Shaw type who is also a fearsome competitor

Depends on the role a club sees him playing down the track. If he is to play as the small BP like Newman then yes it is a problem because he will be cut up by the Milne, Betts type forwards.

If he can end up playing in the midfield similar to the role Lewis plays with the Hawks then I wouldnt hesitate to call out his name.

His sprint time was a lot faster than I anticipated, 3.04 or thereabouts, he's also dual-sided although his non-preferred doesn't have much depth at this stage. I like Ellis and think he'll slot into the 22 with ease although I'm still hoping for a mid to slip, Emma Quayle is pretty emphatic he'll end up at Punt Road.

That time is not quick but it aint slow either.

Waylen Manson sounds like a country singer from the Deeeeeeep Soooooouth offff America.

What about other Yankee names: Chip, Kirk, Taylor, Hope, Chad ?

That is the big question. Can he become a mid? I don't have a real answer. I think he can, my gut tells me he can play as one. The skill set is there, the hardness is there, the size will be there and I think he can build endurance.

Would prefer him to Kersten.

Troy Taylor part 2
Keep Away!

According to Jay Clark from the Hun we are tossing up between Ellis and Kirsten @15.

Maybe we are hoping one of the better mids will still be available at 26 (ie Grigg, McKenzie??)
