Pick 63, 2017 Ben Miller - Welcome to Tigerland.

In R10 Ben Miller played the best game of his career IMO. Relentless? That's new. He might have been our best.

Relentless? I thought more anonymous. But not in a bad way. He seemed to have Hipwood often, and Hipwood could only get a kick by thumping guys heads into the turf, or sooking when he fit a tap in the guts after elbowing Vlastuin to the head.

That passage looked to me like umpire bias, Brodders. What with it being demonstrably bias again. (I reckon Vlastuin should have come off but eh.)

And Minson wiped the floor with Dudwood. Our man was in everything. Had a very good game. Might have levelled up. Who will he get this week? Wright... Hmmm. Interesting matchup. A test for our bloke.

I believe Miller is a #2 back FWIW. We still need a full back.

Big Ben is progressing quite well and looking more of a long term AFL player as the season goes on. My only gripe about Saturday was he tended to stand off at times instead of going in hard. Still, compared to last season , he is doing quite a good job especially when the incoming ball is relentless right now. Once we have a functioning midfield then maybe we can see more of his attacking flair with his good accurate kick etc

This bloke got worse as the game wore on.

Bad indicator. Bad.

Competed in 36 1 on 1 contests, has lost 1. Ranked third in the AFL.

Doesn't feel that way but going very well.

Funny what people see. And then the stats show something completely at odds with it.
Maybe viewing one or more poor incidents just stays in the brain a bit longer. The “ordinary” one on ones just flow through on the neuron wave

I've been a long time defender or hater of Minson. I've pivoted on that. Just because Tylar Young is air it doesn't follow that Minson can't be too.

Minson will get an easier job when Grimes returns. And hopefully Young wiil be Capuanoed then.

Meanwhile full backs are dime a dozen. Let's get one.
Prescient. We just spent our first dime in the msd on a big strong full back.
Who said we couldn't learn

Very timid but still won 35 out of 36 contests?

Imagine if he gets a bit of aggro into his game
Yep. Funky wins his contest against his opponent but then the oppo running mids swoop on the loose spillage n it's Funkys fault for not having the second n third efforts to immediately shut down the swarmers as well. Might help if some of our one way runners n plodders actually pulled the finger out n kept up with their opponents.

Our best and only tall defender atm (not including backman turn forward now backman Noah Balta). Yet he is unsigned for next year and an unrestricted fee agent. Think we need to sign him up befor North come calling with a 5yr deal on 600k p/y. And I am not joking. They need KPD.

If North offers 600k, that proves they are playing with some else's money.
Miller has 13 games to prove himself otherwise they can offer $1 and they can have him.

I’ve lacked confidence in Miller in past years for his lack of competitiveness but reckon he’s had a fine 4-5 week block, in a breakout year where he finally seems to believe he belongs.
Thought he again battled manfully tonight.
And hitting targets.
Another “young” kid benefiting from continuity.
