Pick 53: Jack Graham

Love this kid. I get nervous as poop when Broad and KMac have it, not with Jack. He stays. George should be nervous, he's on a three game streak of virtual invisibility.

Shown alot in his first 2 games.

Nothing seems to faze him and dare I say it...has a bit of Dusty in him in his early years.

Field kicking and hardness are real highlights.

Still wondering how he dropped to pick #53 last year - thinking might have to do with his lack of height?

Watched the replay and liked his 3 bullet passes to lead up forwards. Also coolly slotted that goal from the flank. This was the biggest plus for me as I already knew about his hardness and 2 way running but thought there were some reservations on his kicking prowess? Don't think he has a penetrating kick but if he can keep delivering it like he did yesterday I will be a happy man.

Yep hes got to stay in.

Already in our best 22!

Class and his tackle efforts are fantasssstic, time on the ball, doesnt panic like some of our more seasoned players, real diamond here

I feel exactly the same

2 games in, both weeks has had the highest number of pressure acts and in the top 3 on the ground for tackles. His kicking is good, and the more he plays the more his disposal numbers will increase. He stays in for me. Kmac is the one I'd be looking at for Caddy but we'd have to figure out how we'd cover the pace drop off but Kmac is a worry for me.

The kids a "waddler". Come on Dermi say it and make it true just like you did with Dusty all those years ago.

This kid is a jet.

I've wondered about the knock on him too, only thing i could think of is man child syndrome. Easy to dominate kids with a body like that and maybe clubs thought there wasnt a lot of development left in the boy.

The one knock looks to be pace. Anyone know his combine results?

Hopefully he works on his pace and endurance over the preseason. He probably needs to lose 4 - 5 kilo's, he semed to lumber around a bit last week

He is firstly a footballer.
Secondly, a big bodied mid, but he is definitely not OTT big. Just an awesome size for a midfield role.
Thirdly, a couple of games in and 19 he will not have a tank yet. His attitude and genetics would suggest he will get a tank.
He only has upside and tonnes of it. If he can stay injury free it will happen in good time.
Oh, and finally he can use the ball when he gets it. Gotta love that.
