Pick 53: Jack Graham

Corey Ellis just got leap - frogged in the pecking order by a bloke playing his first game.

Sure did. Offers the same offensively at worst. And defensively he is a strong worker.

We by the looks of it have had a decent draft last year. Nice debut game
I'd say probably the last 2x drafts. Next year is key to nail the draft. 2x first round draft picks is an opportunity you can't afford to bugger up!

I'd say they should be competing for different roles. I'd prefer C Ellis competing for Grigg's spot. I'd like Graham to be knocking off Edwards.

I reckon Shai will be taking Edwards job. Graham will just take a spot.

Did like Ellis in the midfield early on Sun. Hard to tell against poor opposition.

Ellis is a player without a position to aspire too right now IMO.

The side has better options going forward that are more naturally suited to Wing Half back positions and also a plethora of small Forwards that are better suited to that role also than Corey.

The problem is he does'nt seem cut out to be the inside ball winning midfielder that he was drafted and sold to us as, he looks as if he is too timid for that role and he just seemingly cannot find the footy, nor can he cover enough ground (due to lack of pace) to make contests or create his own space which makes him useless as a Wingman or a Half back.

Tremendous.

Yep

Strong Willed level headed and competetive spirit.

If he starts to really make head way the RFC will look to lock him away before the Cows and Port try to lure him home.

Hopefully he thinks that those Adelaide mobs didn't want him in his draft year so they can both go & get lost.

That's where the strong willed part will kick in. ;)

Still a long way to go fitness wise and not sure he makes our finals side, but geez an impressive start for the kid.

He's a little Bull isn't he.

Showed an appetite for the contest that has been lacking in some of our other top draftees of recent years.

Looked like he belonged. Not sure who it was, (may have been Derwayne) but one of the Fox commentators was talking up his feats at junior level in SA.
